This is a drill at Keith Codes Super bike school.
Ran Sonoma in 4th gear 0n a new BMW 1000RR -no shifting-no brakes.
Great drill to gauge corner entry speed and turn in

Yes it is. And it’s a very different drill out on your favorite stretch of twisties instead of in a controlled track environment. Challenge your riding buddies to do it with you and see who can make it through with the fewest “fouls” (brakes, shifts, clutch pulls).

Fabulous butt puckering drill. Don’t touch the brake don’t touch the brake!

With no other clutter being able to focus on entry speed you find yourself entering faster and it is AOK because no brakes.

Nice 3rd gear stuff Tom.

I am not that patient.
I did this during a practice day on a new track and scared myself before every turn! Went well the next day so it worked.
Similarly some of the most fun I’ve had was the Trinity Alps downhill race during a Weaverville Rally. Trying to not brake or scrub off any speed while within spitting distance of your compatriots was a hoot!
