My buds asked how it was different than my R6 track bike.
I told my friends it was like an Italian mistress.

You tell her what to do and she is amazing at doing it.
You let her decide and you will find trouble.

So different than the more more neutral Japanese bikes.

I still have mine up on stilts. Thought about offering it to a museum to use for whatever period of time. Make more room in the garage.

No way for me to ride it again.

Back when I lived in Sacramento, 916 day was a day for cheap drink specials at certain bars or have a small party at someone's house.

But sure, I guess it applies to motorcycles too.

You know the old joke about the difference between heaven and hell, right?

In heaven you have a French chef, an English chauffer, and an Italian mistress.

In hell you have French chauffer, an English chef, and an Italian mistress.

Most of the fixes I saw on the 916 were from owners forgetting about the auto up sidestand and the narrow lock to lock radius of steering...

I wonder if someone on a Porsche forum is celebrating 917?
I remember riding that 748 you borrowed way back when on CVR. When I first sat on it I couldnít believe how low the clip ons were, then when I tried to put my foot on the peg I couldnít find it the damn thing It was so High. I had to grab my leg and pull it up, most uncomfortable bike Iíve ever ridden but it did handle !

I had a Yellow 96 916. Great bike. Only real problem was I had to hardwire the rectifier. Other than that, really easy to work on. I sold it when I started commuting on it. Not a great bike for that.
