I signed up on their website to be notified when demo rides would be available. I can't say for sure but I seem to remember their website saying rides would be available once bikes start shipping this Spring.

In some cases people touring in the summer and using accessory fast chargers have had issues when Riding, charging, riding, charging.

In other words, active cooling would help. If you charger is not powerful or your motor is not powerful, it probably does not matter, but the more you push the performance, the more you need active cooling.
People tour on their Zero's?

Interesting read. He did heavily modify the bike though. I thought he just took an off-the-shelf zero and went the distance

Still cool that people are making it happen. I think with actively cooled batteries and level 3, you could make some fairly good "long range" bikes.

One day!

Check this thread out, this dude rode his Zero to 4 corners of the United States. I'm planning to buy a diginow supercharger for my Empulse to double the charging the speed would make touring possible. You have to get good at finding chargers.

that puts real highway range pretty damn low I imagine

Buell is getting into the game, too. Missing a lot of details, but exciting that this is coming from someone who's been through the wringer of bringing new motorcycles to production. If they can hit that price point it'll be huge. https://electrek.co/2019/03/05/motor...e-brand-fuell/

Quote:
The Fuell Flow electric motorcycle will come in two variants: 11 kW (14.8 hp) or 35 kW (47 hp).

Despite the foundersí racing pedigrees, the Flow electric motorcycle is designed primarily for urban applications. Thatís been a common theme in many new electric motorcycle unveilings lately.

A rear hub motor is mounted in a single-sided swingarm with an off-center rear monoshock.

While the hub motor may add unsprung weight that would be less than desirable for high performance racing, its advantage in a commuter is that it frees up cargo space in the bike. The Flow should feature 50 liters (1.75 cubic feet) of cargo space. Thatís huge in the motorcycle world, where space for a pair gloves or sunglasses is often considered a luxury.

Charging should also take just 30 minutes on a 20 kW public charger.

The Flow appears to lack a foot brake but also has an empty left bar where a rear hand brake would otherwise rest, meaning a single right brake lever might control the hydraulic disc brake in the front and regenerative braking in the rear.

Fuell indicates that the Flow should start at $10,995.
