Aw....Connie. This hurts my heart.
I've been there before and will be there again. It never gets any easier.
You are in my thoughts.

Losing a pet is a horrible experience.

But inevitable, sadly.

Deepest condolences to Connie whom I've never met or spoken to but she is clearly a very loving and caring person.

So very sorry to hear Connie. Hope you are coping well. You do so much for BARF, hope we can help a bit. Dogs are a gift to their owners and they always break your heart when it's time for them to go.

Connie, my condolences. 17 years is a life time friendship, and it is never easy to say good bye.

Thanks for the condolences, Everyone... and thanks so much to Carlos for being so generous to cover the cost of the vet coming to the house to help Buster, and for the private cremation... that meant the world...
I had thought he was going to pull through... but the bloodwork came back showing acute kidney & liver failure.
No coming back from that.
I've lost 2 of my best friends this year... first Danni (idontdotrix) and now the Pocketdog.
2020 can fuck right off.

We get used to them being here with us... all the little things we do for them and because of them... every time I put the recliner chair down, I'm doing a quick check to make sure he isn't lying under it... which of course he isn't...
If you don't have a youtube channel yet, set one up, and start taking video of your pups and uploading it, so you have it.

Yes, he lived a good long life... but he's been such a part of my life for so long, I don't know what I'm going to do...

I am sorry for your loss Connie.

Love of a dog is the strongest kind.

I was in your shoes a year ago December.

Know we have your back.

I believe if there is a Heaven, our dogs will greet us there.

Tough loss

Connie, you probably don't remember me but when I saw your photo, I remembered you. Sorry for your loss. Pets are family, usually the ones we like the best because all they want is to love and be loved in return. Peace.

With any luck, the Rainbow Bridge exists and you'll meet again there.

Deepest sympathies to you Connie.

I lost my 14 year old rescue cattle dog, Texas, just a couple months ago. He was my shadow.
I feel your pain cause it brought a tear back for my Tex.

Just know it sucks for awhile and the little things, habits, will pop up once in awhile to bring the ying/yang - smile/tear.
But time heals.
And yes... 2020 is the big suck!

I waited 4 years between being owned by Tex and my previous cattle dog, Cooper.
Don't know how long I can last until my next one.
