Double banjo bolt, fine thread
Anyone local got one lying around? My SS lines came with a coarse thread banjo & the company wants me to order the damn thing instead of making it right. So, looking locally.

I think he needs an M10x1.0 (usually Brembo)
Instead of M10x1.5 that he got...(usually Japanese) (I’ll look and see if I got any) |

Well, there's also M10x1.25 banjo bolts that's commonly used in automotive applications as well. Best to know exact threading needed.

Try Hayward Cycle Salvage. They have a box of misc banjo bolts. It should be there if you dig.

I didn't have time to go to a shop. I try to avoid Amazon, but I bit the bullet. Thanks for the recs though. I'm just annoyed that the folks I bought the lines from wouldn't send me one.
I've bought from ASV & Trail Tech, they've sent me free replacement parts. As have a couple helmet manufacturers. But these guys just sent me an order link for their website and didn't even offer to cover shipping. |

I bought from Core Moto. I still think their product is good & their website makes it easy to order something like "stock length + 3 inches" without having to call or have an email back & forth.
Spiegler and HEL were both more expensive & a little convoluted. It's not that big a deal, but I would've had to call or email to get something as simple as "stock + 3 inches." Setting up a website so you can just do it in the dropdown is not difficult, but apparently only Core Moto has realized that. Their customer support rep that I was communicating with was rad. I ordered the wrong set of lines, it was my fault. He couldn't comp me the correct rear brake line. And they don't accept returns because "all lines are custom built." I don't fault them on that. The rep gave me a deep discount on the correct rear line I had to order. However, Suzuki switched master cylinders between the gen1 & gen2 SV650N. Gen 2 uses 1.25 pitch, gen 1 uses 1.0. The fact after spending close to $200 on product, Core Moto couldn't just comp me a damn banjo bolt rubbed me the wrong way. It would have cost more & taken longer. So I just used Amazon Prime. I even checked on O'Reilly's & AutoZone websites & I could not tell if they stocked the double length banjos I needed. Those places suck anyway. I would have gone to SFMoto or something, but I didn't really have time before Thanksgiving. |

Call the local hydraulic line shops like royal brass in San Jose. They have all the banjo bolts as well.

Just for infos sake. While Spiegler is a little more they offer excellent customer service and their kits come with alloy banjo bolts with crush washers including a few extra washers. Also a tool to allow rotation of the banjo for a perfect fit. I had them make a custom line for me and I measured too long. Sent it back and they shortened two lines for $26 iirc. Good people.

Local hydraulic shops can make you custom lines to your specifications as well. I got 3 lines for front-end for about $100. Well, was this was couple decades ago down in Santa Barbara. Don't discount locals!

Yup. Royal Brass in San Jose has made several sets of lines for me over the last 10 years or so. They offer different color banjo fittings, lines and banjo bolts.

I hear often that Spiegler is the best & I'm sure they are. I get that. I know a lot of moto fok are old school & might even prefer to call a shop to discuss their order. But there's also something to be said for investing in making ordering the product easier. Quote:
