took a little 1300 mile cruise this weekend...
I had a meeting this lastThurday morning in Medford Oregon. So that basically means I had a four-day weekend!
![]() So with rain travelling east...I switched my first plan of going to Montana to visit a friend, to a more weather friendly Crater Lake/Coos bay/Hwy 1-back home Kind of trek. Pics! ![]() http://www.fototime.com/users/c_robe...%20lake%20trip ![]() ![]() Last edited by Charles R; 10-19-2007 at 12:16 AM.. Reason: to change URL and add PICS!!! |

pics from my 1300 mile weekend!
I had to go to Oregon this last thurs, so I basically had a 4-day weekend!
![]() So I took a trip to Crater Lake...And then to the coast...and to teh 'Avenue of the Giants'...and then back to the coast for some hwy 1 action back to home. pics http://tinyurl.com/2hvpqc ![]() let me explain these pics... ![]() ![]() the camera battery is basically dead at this point. So, the darker photo was steady enough to see that I'm taking a pic of the setting moon. But the color is jacked! The second pic has truer colors, but I moved. Use your imagination to combine the two pics... and you get an awesome moon fall within the glowing embers of the setting sun. ![]() Last edited by Charles R; 10-19-2007 at 12:43 AM.. Man I want to give you props, but tinyurl is a drag. Upload some pics here, even though they might steal them.

Damn, I did a similar trip a year ago on Memorial day weekend. I thought it was cold then! YIKES! Great photos.

It looked colder than it was...then again, this was my first trip with a gerbings heated jacket. I HIGHLY recommend them!
![]() Is there actually an issue with tinyurl? I'd never used it before, but I've seen it on one of the site I frequent. |

AFAIK, tinyurl is fine, although you don't need to use it here since the board upgrade. You can just paste in the full url inside the tags.
What a difference a month makes. How'd your test go? |

Yah, maybe I'm just a little anal. I don't like clicking URL's I don't know where they're going. i.e. tinyurl. That's all.
I went ahead and clicked since no one else is reporting pr0n or other undesireables, and you do have some nice pics. I still think you should upload some here, and link the full gallery if it is more than you want to upload. ![]() |

ah, got it. The concours.org site needed a shorter URL, and it just happened to still be "on my clipboard" when I made these posts.
![]() I'll post 'clipboard' sized photos. I like leaving pics full sized so people get to see the details (like the trees growing from the sheer rock faces) so those may be a bit large. ![]() I LOVE THIS BIKE!!! ![]() The stock seat was horrible for me. (to the point of causing nerve issues.) But the Corbin seat, while needing a little more fine tuning, is just what I needed. The only issue I had the whole time was a bit of a sore right shoulder. As long as I stopped fairly often, (less than 2 hour stints) there was no problem. But I started my weekend with a 7 hour interslab ride to Medford from here in San Jose, so that got it a little fatigued right off the bat. On another note, I also put on new tires in Medford. Michelin Pilot Power CT2's. I really like these. I didn't drag any pegs, but I wasn't going that slowly either. Since a storm system has just cleared the region, a lot of the roads I was on were damp, and save for one gravel-ly/slushy/sloppy hairpin near the lake, the tires had great grip. (I later realized I had wanted the Pilot ROAD2's, but these are pretty nice ;P ) Did anyone notice my bike IS in this pic too? O.O ![]() Last edited by Charles R; 10-19-2007 at 12:50 AM.. |
