Death Valley Trip - BARF

Im sry that it took me so long to post up the pics, but I was having computer issues that I was too lazy to solve.

I dont have much from the ride to buttonwillow where we spent the first night.
We stopped on the side of a twisty canyon road through Kern River Canyon. After a day of riding in a straight line, some scenic twists were more than welcome.

The roads to the valley couldn't be any straighter, when I rode, I went into my own world and was able to meditate.

We took a break from the meditation, and got some fluids back into our systems.

The wind was unbearable. It was hot air, and felt like an encompassing substance. We were truly in the middle of nowhere. As we were resting and drinking, a friendly biker on a decked out BMW pulled over to check if everything was alright.

After we got back on the road, and rode for nearly another hundred miles, we saw something strange in the distance and decided to pull over to discuss it.

The wind was pretty intense the whole way to the Valley, and I often felt as though I would be thrown off the road.

After a good night's sleep, it was time to go exploring in this arid place.

We first went to some salt flat formations called "The Devil's Golf Course"

The road surface was definately not gp track worthy.

Got a chance to take some artsy pictures while we stopped.

I began to worry about the condition of my tires and whether or not they would make it back.

Then some mandatory and much needed rehydration. This is the perfect place for a gatorade comercial.

WE FOUND WATER!!!!

But it was salty.

It was a cool looking nothingness.

Once again, time for an artsy pic. Hey dad, lay down!

The dirt roads were pretty state of the art. Made me wish I had a dirtbike to tear it up with.

It did get a little lonely

And you thought that gas was expensive in the bay. Try living here.

Then after our day in Death Valley, We got out of there as fast as we could. The intense winds knocked out power throughout the whole grid, so we spent our last night in the dark.

Well on the way back, in Bakersfield, things took a turn for the worse. I've already posted a thread about that and dont really want to go over it again. But this is pretty much what became of our trip.

Only another month and a half and he should be back to normal.
