4/18 Trip report- tres passes

Altimont Pass, Patterson Pass, and Pigeon Pass

Ended up doing 642km/399.1m in 8 hours and 12 minutes of riding- and about nine hours out of the house. Three fuel stops and 42mpg/93max/48mph avg for the whole thing. A few engine running 'I was there,' photos.

I mounted my Zumo 550 for the trip and ran a cord out of the trunk to power it. Clunky but it worked on a heavy underpowered automatic scooter.

Suspension is a little 'sportier,' than my Capo which made some sections of road a little uncomfy.

The route was as much two lane as possible. Approximate route here. Have to figure out the way to post stuff from the mapping software, or SPOT tracking data

And from 3 days earlier - a similar route

Fremont's Fort marker pullover/view area.

The south end of 'the little dragon,' as discussed here, and here

Thanks for the info... that looks like a good loop to scrub the tires in.
