Posting this up for a friend, any help from the barf community much appreciated:

I am looking for a motorcyclist who rides a Aprilia RSV Tuono 1000 year 2006-2009 that is red/black.

This motorcyclist hit my dog while my sister (6 months pregnant) was walking across the street. Unfortunately, my dog was struck and flew about 20 feet, but luckily the motorcyclist didn't strike my sister, though her hand/arm is sore and bruised from holding the leash.

The motorcyclist fled the scene, but we did find a missing part of his bike, which is the radiator cover.

The incident occurred in San Jose, California in the Berryessa area at the intersection of Vinci Park & Lundy today. If anyone has any information in regards to this, please help! This bike is pretty rare, so hopefully we can find the culprit and bring him to justice.

Please respond with any information or contact SJPD at 408-277-8900 with the Case ID: 12-224-9708

hope you catch him also!! how is the dog?

Wow, I love Sheebas.
Somebody knows this guy and needs to fess up.
I mean really.

Post this up on the Aprila forum. I'm pretty every Aprilia owner has an account there.

Maybe some description of his/her gear would help? Like helmet color/graphics?

FYI There should be a mention of city on the flyer.

Sure it's silver frame and not gold?

This. Even though it is not an extremely popular bike, there were quite a bit sold. My brother has that exact same bike and I know for a fact it was not him. I would hate for the wrong person to be accused.

Is this the incident by Vinci Park? Berryessa SJ? Buddy of mine pointed me to this thread. This happened today? or over the weekend?

got a text from my buddy, said his sister was walking her dog, and someone on a bike (she identified it as an Aprilia), hit n run. Got sent pics of the part the rider left behind, but couldn't figure out WTF it went on.

and FUCK you for Hit n Run if you're reading this you fucking prick

My friend said it happened today. Intersection at lundy and berryessa

Flyer says Saturday. Did no one read the flyer? Including the OP? :laughing

I hope they catch this douche btw.

Make sure you get that flyer to any place that works on Aprilias or sells the parts.

Chances are that same rider will go through the same intersection at the same time next week.

'Glad you're sister wasn't hit. And I'm also happy to hear that your pooch seems like he'll (she'll?) recover. And I sure hope the douchbag gets caught. With enough vigilance, I'm sure this will happen.

Please keep us posted of developments.
