Cheap watch thread... what you got?

I don't think we have one of these? Maybe we do?

Anyhow, I have some high end watches and a medium (not cheap, not expensive) that I use for work on a daily basis; But what I didn't have was a good-looking every-day watch that was cheap as shit. Something I didn't care if I broke but still looked good. I got tired of scratching up my Rolex and other nice watches while working on my bikes and shit.

So? I ordered this fucking Invicta Pro Diver -- which is clearly designed after a Rolex Submariner -- for a whopping $80 shipped. It's made in China if I had to guess, and the movement is made in Japan. It seems to keep good time, and frankly, looks fucking great for an $80 watch. The cheapest part of the watch is by far the band, but what can you expect for $80. Hell, they make it in a Quartz version for $50. Hard to beat for everyday use.

So what cheap-ass but still good-looking watches are you fuckers running these days? I'm trying to not only build up my high-end collection (takes forever, shit is expensive!) but my low-end collection. What have you guys found that just seemed to be better than expected for the price??

Invicta has too many different partsbin Lines/watches for me to purchase one of them.
I'd rather just get a Seiko or orient and know exactly where came from. Not that it really matters wi cheap ones.

Well, at $50 or $80 does it really matter? That was part of the appeal about this particular watch. It had a Japanese movement, seemed reasonable and was stupid-cheap.

When it arrived, it was far nicer than I had expected for the price. In terms of looking at it from 3ft away, I hate to say it but it looks no worse than a watch which costs 150x as much. The instant I pick them up, of course you notice the difference between the quality... but for an every-day watch???

Akribos has some stylish watches for under $200. You can also find a decent Kenneth Cole for under $100.

I have my Tissot, which isn't really super cheap but it's sturdy, looks great after a few years use and I could replace it without feeling too much pain. I haven't found any watches with sapphire crystal for less than what Tissot charges.

If I could get a Citizen with eco-drive and sapphire crystal for less than $200, I'd hella do that.

Any watch on this website can be had for half-price With the iloveorient coupon.
Good Japan owned company that makes it's own in-house movements and doesn't pretend to be something it's not.

I have one of these that was a gift from my wife. It's a Guess. It's a decent watch, I suppose. I never wear it because my phone has a clock and jewelery is for girls

Dude, it happens!

I was only into high end shit a while back, because I got something silly as a gift and got hooked. Now I'm starting to widen my search. It turns out, and I don't think this is a good thing, I fucking like them all!

Pretty soon my watch collection is gonna be like my gun collection...

I have a $250 Seiko that I wear all the time. Looks great for dressing up and great for jeans and a T shirt and withstands quite a beating from scratches and banging around.
