There's a dude I race all the time in Sonoma that has a red one. I almost actually bought one of these for my first bike.
 
Just so everyone is aware, an RZ350 motor will fit in a Hawk GT frame.

Awww, I had three or four of those, street and race. Then the SV650 showed up. I've had 3 or 4 of those, lol. The Hawk always had the upper hand when it came to looks. It was a advanced tech street bike in Nighthawk days. Love it.
 
I vouch for this bike. I used to own one and it was great. Wish I still have it.

I would change suspension. Possibly current triple trees, adjustable forks, and radial brakes. Rear shock Ohlins or other good adjustable shocks.

Still a fun super skinny comfy bike.
 
Oh I can certainly vouch for the bike. My 3rd bike. It traveled up and down California, LA to the Grand Canyon/Phoenix and back (nope, no windscreen...). Up and down the canyons of So Cal.

Great bike. And this is a really clean example.

I think we dropped in the Hurricane front end. Much better.
 
Didn't the Hurricane have smaller than 41mm forks? Or did you use the triples too?

And OP, nice bike. It's getting harder to find clean examples like this. And yeah, I'm a fan, I've probably owned 10 Hawks and still have 2, though one is a basket.

The go-to mod for upgrading the forks are the F2 forks. Maybe that would make it even better. But this already haas good adjustable shocks---not Ohlins, but Wilbers is no slouch! :ride

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. I don't disagree---I may end up keeping it at this rate, since everyone's interested but no one's buying.
