Ferrari actually making the right tactical move?

Unheard of. :laughing

Glad to see the driver standings tighten up a bit but it looks like Antonelli's year.

Verstappen 7th in the standings even though he drove a good race as well.

It feels like it's Mercedes' to lose, but damn good performance by Hamilton today. If he wins #8 I'm not gonna be mad at all

Sadly I don't see that happening but yes, Hamilton could win more races as the Ferrari seems to have woken up a bit as has his form.

“If you look at the two best races I've had, I didn't use a simulator. That's honestly how it was. All the championships before, except for probably 2008, I didn't use a sim. It's not a necessity. It's a tool that can be powerful, but for me, I'm old school. I'm probably better without it.

A small surprise for the top three in qualifying.

Verstappen over performed in the race though, as did Piastri.

Silverstone next.

Can Hamilton do it there?

Ferrari looked one step back in this last race.

Lego racers are back for Silverstone.

What a blue balls ending to the British GP.
Beyond ridiculous that they didn't run one last lap.

The spectacle is for the fans first and foremost once it is safe to race.

Mercedes got lucky for sure.

I thought it was really funny that Max did kind of a douchey pass on Russell and then immediately went to the pits, and then not too long after Russell did the exact same back to Max.

McLaren's Lando Norris will have a 10-place grid penalty at the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday as a result of exceeding the permitted number of engine parts.

The world champion's car will be fitted with a new battery, Norris' fourth of the season, one more than is permitted.

McLaren decided to fit the new unit, along with taking the latest specification of Mercedes engine, because the one Norris was using does not have the reliability fixes introduced after a series of failures this year.

The team chose this weekend to take the penalty because overtaking is relatively easy at Spa, and it is the last race before they introduce the first of two significant upgrade packages.

Hamilton would have had third but for an unfair 5 second penalty early on and then a screw up by the team in front wind adjustment in his pit stop.

Looks like Mercedes will win both Driver and Team championships with Ferrari second in both.

The Formula 1 season resumes after the summer break with a Sprint weekend at the Dutch Grand Prix from August 21-23

My sports bandwidth is limited these days....but what a break for me.

No F1 until 8/21
No Premier League until 8/21
No NFL Week 1 is 9/9-13 (yeah, yeah, pre-season)
MLB is 99% dead to me since the A's left Oakland.
