Alaska maybe?

It's a suitable alternative, I'm thinking maybe I'll moto-camp my way there and pretend I'm as cool as SFMCJohn
You’re not made of sugar and you won’t melt.
Ducati electronics on the other hand... but yeah, my limit is generally when my boots start filling up with water and my visor won't clear the fog 😆

I use my Yamahas weighted bar ends when wanting throttle lock control … l Relax the grip and slide palms back down over the bar ends. barends don’t rotate; palming the barend and throttle/ the setting can be held with little fatigue.

•BUGS • have micro fiber towels, & a Lexan cleaning product /BugSlide.
I think:: gonna be a lot of bugs. spatula( scraper;; Butter some bread with all the free accumulating nitrogenous organic compound , possibly skip some costly meals.

I'm still waffling here, I don't like the idea of riding in freezing temps, but I don't know when I'll have another chance like this...

I was thinking cliff bars / nuts for food to ride on, and then a nice meal each night wherever I stay. The one good thing about going in shoulder season is the bugs should be less with the rain and dropping temps.

Rain seems to be ubiquitous up there save for maybe mid July - early August, might get down to freezing overnight, but it should, on average, but in the low 60s during the day. I'll definitely be packing lots of warm layers...
 
I've heard the same, figure it's cheap insurance even if I do need to pay for expedited shipping.
 
I mean, one feature is simply you can always turn back. You can stop pretty much whenever you want. Sounds like you'll probably be at least getting out of the US before its starts getting awful, and that trip alone may we worthwhile even if you can't complete the rest.
 
That's my thinking, gotta be able to say I tried. Of course, once I'm far enough north, the only way out is the way I came, so if really rough weather rolls in I'll be rolling through it. If I can stay warm and keep the visor free of fog, I can probably push through anything short of a gale force downpour. Should still be too early for snow, but, it's Alaska so...

North Pole, AK is 13.5 miles from Fairbanks. Or posing next to the Denali National Park sign?
 
Both are good options and I am definitely going to Denali, turns out, they stop running busses near the end of the season, which then means you are allowed to drive / ride into the park, so, if I luck out on that timing I'll get to ride about 30 miles into the park which would be cool
 
Definitely need to make sure I see a glacier or something while I'm up there. I'm gonna prepare for crap weather and hope I get lucky. If I can I'll try to be on the road by Thursday :oops:

@N4teTheGreat - Data is your friend. You are going to get chased out by winter for sure. Not a *ton* of rain, but the weather gods I last heard were speaking of early fall. I'd expect grey skies the further you go north. 66 and sunny is different than 66 and cloudy/foggy/damp.

Hyder is Alaska but it's warmer but wetter.
