All hell breaks loose in Hollister- suspect now dead

Here's an updated community briefing. More information. Lots of body camera footage. Viewer discretion advised.

Wow. Pretty crazy. Would have made a lot more sense to start with 17.00 helicopter footage.
With so many redactions most of the body cam footage is hard to follow.

The first officer that face the fuckwad up was balls up. Hope you are healing Officer.

A whole lot to unpack there. Holy shit. The dude deserved everything he got including being accidentally run over.

Seeing shots being fired between and behind other officers was surprising. As was seeing shots being taken at the dead guy when he was so close to the uninvolved citizens. I'd love to read the part of the report that covers "Lessons learned and what we're going to do differently in the future."

I suspect he wasn't "accidentally" run over, it was a PIT-a-Ped maneuver.

Yeah.. I think he/she took him out on purpose.

That officer and the one that was shot and faced him up were both stand outs to me.

Can't imagine sitting in your car with all that mayhem happening all around you.
One car seeing him running toward them said I am out of here! :later

Fog of war- Job 1 is stopping the threat. Shooting hadn't done it, so improvise to save lives.

I love how they all run toward shots fired 🙇‍♂️

Yeah, that's part of the job. Shit gets real when you're the one doing it. Watching a video is nothing like doing it.

It's not uncommon for officers who are involved in shootings to leave law enforcement within a few years after the incident...or worse, suicide.

Yeah, it definitely looked like an on purpose use of deadly force.

They probably had, or will have, tactical debriefing(s) to discuss what went well and what could be improved upon, and whatnot. But that stuff won't be in the report.

I'm hoping all officers will be cleared of any wrongdoing in this case. I'm also hoping they receive a mental health debriefing and those who need it receive personal MH counseling.

The Sergeant (that got shot after bad guy and he were going around the patrol car) came zooming in hot as well, in that section where bad guy hopped out & was looking like he was going to jack a white car in the slow lane.
