PLEASE! I haven used dialup (unless i was away and using my laptop on vaca. etc) since the last time me cable modem went down in like 2001! HAHAHA! I used to install cable modems for job and have had one since way back then.

Ive been to that site Mr. Furious, I can see that it might be useful running linux on an xbox but if I had a dedicated server id rather just throw redhat (or whatever flava in 'nix) on a crappy P2 or AMD I have laying around so it up and running 24x7 long as its powered and use that for storage. I dont leave my xbox on all the time (theyre pretty loud!) and I like it as is with the Alladin 64 chip, EvoX, Media Center, tons of storage ... not a bad investment since i got the xbox as a gift and paid about 185 for chipping/hd/data xfer.


Hotdog, I know that site well. I havent done a LOT of reading up on it but I probly woulda done my modding on my own had my friend not offered to take mine into some dude in SF and get it done.

I just got Xbox Connect installed so soon as I get my box back from my buddy Im gonna try it out. I guess its whats you call tunneling.

PS Hotdog, just saw your sig. Are you a fan of FC the movie or the book as well? If you havent Read Chuck Palahniuk's book which was BEFORE Fincher's movie, I reccomend you do so. Chucks a cool guy to meet too and just released another book, this one Non-Fiction.

Yea I am waiting for comcast to get their shit together so I can get my cable!!!! right now im running with dsl so its alright...
I dunno the xbox is pretty quiet compared to some of my computers but it gets pretty hot.. lol yea its not really practical but you know how it goes, I did it just because I could. I will im ya later to see what your playing... Right now gotta go install my new brake/clutch levers on my bike WAHOOOOOO

LOL, youd give your neighbor the ASS and the hot flight attendant's ass the CROTCH!

I love that scene in the movie. I actually found out about Chuck and that he was the author when I was reading the jacket on my DVD. From there I read FC and then all his other books cause they fucking rock. Reading other authors now but I gotta get his new book.

you guys should be playing the desert combat mod for bf1942 . rather than flying crapy chinook helo's you can fly apaches. f16, warthot, migs, plus all the other tanks and jeeps, plus all the awesome naval battles with guided cruise missles you can stand. the game is easily one of the best mods out there. if you're not playing dc you are seriously missing out. all of my lan buds i play with loved it when they finally downloaded it. it's a big ass file but well, well worth it.
and i don't even work for the guys who made the mod!
