"Don’t date a girl who rides motorcycles. You will not be the only one in her life. You will wake up on Sunday morning....."

http://www.moterrific.com/blog/2013...YmpBmP3XvLl0ZaRSF2Fm8-uVFvDndDqUK_2ycn180h6wQ

Been listening for a long time. Have always enjoyed Joanne Donn and her take on the sport. But, Cristi tends to say things that are questionable. (Ok...... she says stupid things often) Which for the most part is okay but she's a bit arrogant.

I suppose that means "women" should not date a rider as well? I prefer to start my rides at 7am and head up to Marin for the SMR.

My wife is a diver. (Hey.... easy there!):wtf. She goes on dive trips with friends. I wake up alone. I'm cool with it. It allows me to go riding and have breakfast with my buds.

For me, this article really reflected the spirit of any rider, and hopefully, inspired ladies or someone to want to ride a motorcycle. Much like some of the ladies here who do adventure rides, Baja, and cross country trips.

If coming from a women is the catalyst, so be it, let's grow the community. But also, a message for any SO who dates someone who loves the 2 wheeled life :)

How can we get her to join the ladies’ forum?

You should read it all the way to the end.

My comment is not about the article. It's about thr many things she says on her podcast.

I have no desire to read her article.

Haha! I like it.

(Too bad many needed that last line added, but I get it.)

The same thing is often true but not really said as much about owning dogs. If she had the dog before meeting you, you'll be behind bowser in the pecking order. If the dog sleeps on the bed, run away.

If you wake up to an empty cold bed maybe it was occupied but cold the night before? If she rides, maybe the solution is to ride as well. If you both ride someone is always ridden.:laughing

I don't think I've ever once seen you on the ride. If it's been that long you should come back out.

The Russian girl that rode through the BA back a year or so ago on her KTM adventure bike, damn she was awesome.

Nice write up. :cool

I would have adjusted the last line - "If you ride marry her".
But that is not judging her in anyway..she seems very passionate about riding.. simply using the logic of being a rider on the way to a happy life for a rider, whether man or woman.

My wife says I am not allowed to date anyone, motorcycle or not.(Unless it's her , of course)

My brother dated a girl who rode and raced. They married and have a garage full of motorcycles.

My wife rides/races and actually does more trackdays than I do! There's been many times where she got out of bed at 4:00 am to go to the track and I slept in..then went to work!:( It's cool though...she buys me motorcycles for presents!:thumbup:cool
