I got a special invite to a thing. Then I found out it's not an exclusive thing for Bay Area Energica owners, but its an open event at the Italian Embassy in San Francisco. I'm definitely going to be there. Hopefully there will be some info about when parts and bikes will be available. I'm hopeful for some good news.

SO...that was a lot of nothing.

I mean it wasn't nothing. It was an event at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco. They have a woodfired pizza oven in the courtyard. Guisseppe was slinging pies...gratis. All my favorite electric motorcycle friends were there. There were some industry peeps and influencers there. It was a good time. If I had gone to eat good food and hangout with cool people I would not be disappointed.

And yet, here I am disappointed.

But they had a big screen with a 10 minute loop of Marc Travels and Ed Darmanian (doing a "Big Lap" of Australia on an Experia). When they gathered everyone for the presentation if was just the Consular Officer introducing the new CEO, and the CEO gave ,what felt like, a very impromptu speech about how much she appreciates the customers and that she's excited about some new carbon fiber things and AI.

She did mention that CalMoto has been a big help. Inferring that they are the west coast point of contact, but nothing specific about them being a dealership again. No mention of when production will start. Nothing about when parts will be available or who to get them from. Nothing about future plans or new models. If all the new things will be Experia based or how long they plan to support the legacy models.

Nothing that any of us showed up there to hear. One of the guys, Edwin, rode here from Yuma for the event.

On the bright side, Diego Cardenas, who flew up for "The Pack News" did get a little more from the CEO. She said she didn't want to steal the thunder from an EICMA announcement...so...maybe we'll here something then??!?

There's another "Energica Returns" event in Milan next week in the middle of the EICMA show. Hopefully the Europeans will get more of an announcement than we did and there will be some more info out there on the interwebz.
