IMO the more you can look and act pro, the more likely someone will give you $$. Pics of a clapped out R6 aren’t helping your chances of securing sponsorship.
I was one of the lucky amateur racers to secure $$ sponsorship starting in club racing. I had a full livery and posters. I did a sponsor plug during some riders meetings and on my moto podcast. I provided race photos for their marketing. They provided a branded EZ Up, banner, and table covers that I displayed constantly. I kept my pit clean and presentable. I referred people to their business regularly. In the beginning they only paid for entry fees. When I provided more exposure and a better experience for them in MotoAmerica, they paid for my tire bill. Providing services for a sponsor is a job. The more pro you can be at it, the more likely you are to get and keep sponsors.
