I was out yesterday afternoon for a couple laps and on the last run I went down and hit the rock wall. Bike is thrased and I broke my hand along with some puncture wounds and a few gashes on my leg.

Bike may be totaled, wont know for sure till i take it apart.

I was in a left sweeper, and the bank flattened out quicker than i anticipated. I was in the dirt before I knew it. I jumped off at the last second but the handle bars caught a rock outcropping turning the bike into the rock and slamming my body into the rocks.

damn that looks painful.

Hope the bike is fixable.:(

Glad you're ok man...but "laps"? :wtf

Riding pants might have saved some pain.

Heal up...and consider that viewing back roads as a race track is not such a great idea.

Sounds like it coulda been a lot worse.

Glad you made it our safely...relatively. Who donated the interior of their crv to the cause?

bummer..but jeans? Hope at the very least you learned something...it sucks to crash and not bring something away from it

First off I dont need nor want a scolding. I wasnt racing nor was i riding like an idiot. Im not a 19 yr old riding an R1. Im 30 and have been riding for 11 years. This is only the second time Ive gone down and the first time was a month after i bought my kawasaki ex500. I wanted riding pants, but was saving for leathers.

Sorry for weird wording, but im on vicodin so forgive me.

Im hoping the bike is fixable but might end up just buying another and using this one for parts. Thanks for your concerns, and thats my van. Actually its my moms, i bought it for her.

Darn, I thought this was about a hot date who lived on Redwood Rd.

Thanx, Russ

That's a hard crash dude, I know you'll be feeling it tomorrow. No lecture, but those knees looked well used. Heel up and be safe out there.

I am a little sore, but thank god for military healthcare. Ive got good drugs lol

I will be investing in a riding suit for sure.

I just saw a red super hawk in the city a couple days ago. Great bikes. Hopefully you'll be able to fix yours. How late were you out there? I try not to go to the twisties at night cuz I had a few close calls with rocks on the road and deers eating out of trash bis in Berkeley Hills.

i have joe rocket blaster 2.0 leather pants with used pucks sz 32, just normal wear if your interested

Sorry to hear about the crash and glad you're OK. I'm surprised that you've been riding for so long without gear. It's impressive that you haven't crashed more often during that time--my upright vs. horizontal record is not nearly as good, but maybe that's why I got good gear pretty soon after I started riding. :laughing I think a lot of people, myself included, are curious as to why you posted. You must be a glutton for punishment! :p Heal up quickly.

haha I guess I am. But Ive got thick skin ;)

I used to have riding pants but they turned up missing (read: stolen)

I posted mainly to thank the ones who helped me out.
