Jab # 3

I’ve never had the vaccine for Covid and I never will. It’s unproven and doesn’t work. You can still get Covid and pass it on. And the doctor/scientist who invented the vaccine recommended people not to get it. And there are disturbing side effects like myocarditis and pericarditis that can and has killed. I’m not going to be a human Guinea pig.

And the definition of vaccine was changed to get around the fact that it doesn’t work as a vaccine.

All false information. Don't get the vaccine, IDGAF. But you are spreading lies.

Also, you seem to not understand what a vaccine does. Vaccines do not prevent one from being infected or spreading infection. Vaccines reduce the likelihood of severe illness if you do get infected, and reduce your chances of infecting another. There are very few vaccines that confer sterilizing immunity.
But keep making stuff up if it makes you feel better :rolleyes

I am not likely to change your mind about the vax, BUT ...

when covid first came on the scene it was so brand new, no human antibodies for anyone at all, and it was lethal at an alarming rate, which was certainly overwhelming our health care safety net with hospital patient census #s more than the capacity of the available beds

what the vax was successful in doing was allow the severity of infections to decrease in vaxed peoples cases, so that the need for urgent care was not required as frequently

I got vaxed. I also have suffered through covid. I did not require hospitalization because my body had a chance at generating an immune response from prior exposure through the vax.

You do you

I'm going to get the latest vaccine when it becomes available.

For those buying into the anti-vax lies, it seems that natural selection has found another way, as it does.

Dear god, don't tell him about the Nobel Prize going to the doctors that developed the vaccine...

https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/medicine/2023/press-release/

The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet

has today decided to award

the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

jointly to

Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman

for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19

The discoveries by the two Nobel Laureates were critical for developing effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 during the pandemic that began in early 2020. Through their groundbreaking findings, which have fundamentally changed our understanding of how mRNA interacts with our immune system, the laureates contributed to the unprecedented rate of vaccine development during one of the greatest threats to human health in modern times.

Refresh my memory, which of these 2 said not to take it?

Dr Malone was one of two scientists in the late 1980's who were involved in an early phase of the long sequence of inventions that led to the mRNA vaccine technology. He is a hero in his own mind, but nowhere near what he claims, his partner, Dr. Phil Felgner, in that early phase along the pipeline of discovery was much more accomplished than him and has gone on to become the director of the Vaccine Research and Development Center at UC Irvine.

They guy is a kook, you can read about it here.

Here we go again. Just let it be. You do you.

Due to some of the some of the stupidity, not only here, but in real life, I walked in and got my latest jab (#6 per my card)....

I'm all for letting it be, I just f'n hate the aforementioned stupidity, and that it's shared. :teeth

Just with the lower risk variant I felt that it was not needed. Maybe a chance to build up my own immunity? :dunno

On 1 and 2 I had a lot of weird cramping in my rib cage lower rear / side as well.

I have not been a flu shot guy generally either.
Think I have had two in my entire life.

Ughish:

After such a long introduction, I hope that you still have stamina to keep reading. My goal for this article is to make it easy for anyone to explain to anyone else this latest confirmation in the Nature paper: that the modified bases in the COVID-19 mRNA products result in ribosomal frameshifting, and that this can, and likely does, lead to aberrant protein production and misfolding of proteins.13

The article is long and ughful. Also is far technical, but has a good explanation at a technical level on recent findings.

First of all, stop fucking trying to scare people. There's zero evidence that mRNA vaccines are harmful.

Second, researchers have already understood the problem and figured out a way to prevent it from happening. Which also gives them more insight into the possibilities of mRNA vaccines for treating other diseases.

Still never have missed a vaccine and never had the 'Rona despite visiting Ashland several times and flying to New Orleans and back in 2022 and going about my daily life as in 2019 for at least 18 months now.

Nothing but antivaxx propaganda based on cherry picked fundamental biology. Also, I wouldn't trust a "scientist" who has had papers retracted WITHDRAWN: A Report on Myocarditis Adverse Events in the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) in Association with COVID-19 Injectable Biological Products

I'm not going to get into a diatribe about how viruses are not codon optimized for their human hosts, especially those that originated in bats; bats are very different to humans!

Putting money where my mouth is, I continue to have the Moderna vaccine. I had a very mild case of COVID last October after a trip to Portugal. Ironically it was a virology conference! I was about 11 months out from my previous COVID jab for that time hence the waned protection. The conference was held for several days in a small unventilated room with people hacking up lungs left, right, and centre. I wasn't masking. Contracting SARS-CoV-2 was inevitable given the surge that was happening in Europe at the time.

Anecdotally, when I've travelled to Europe in the autumn/winter in previous years I've had a nasty dose of the flu. Ever since 2019 I've routinely had the flu shot, other than the case of COVID I haven't been sick. I'll be travelling again this year and dosed with both the flu and COVID (jab #5) vaccines. Let's see how I fair!.

The virus in the article Is now accepted as having been heavily modified within a lab, however, by many reputable sources worldwide.

Rose/ McCulough's paper was peer reviewed and published. The parent company (Elsevier) of the medical journal withdrew the paper despite the authors paying the freight for publication. I don't know what became of their lawsuit on Elsevier, but this all took place in mid 2021 which was prime time for narrative control. I'm not sure if you meant to imply the author of my link had deficient analysis in her 2021 co-authored paper (thus she's fallible currently too), or that she was censored in 2021. Elsevier has never given a reason for withdrawing the paper, but common accepted answer by the authors is the Covid vaccine environment at the time and the damage the paper may do to vaccine uptake.

Luck and good fortune be with you on the trip Europe. I'm genuinely jealous of the timing of your trip and location. Safe travels Doc!

Just to clarify, this statement refers to SARS-CoV-2 being engineered by humans in a lab?

Peer review does not automatically guarantee credibility. Stanford University's president had to recently step down because of bogus, peer review, papers. These were in very high impact journals. Science is under attack and it's the like of Jessica Rose and other charlatans that are at the forefront of misdirection eroding public confidence in perfectly legitimate interventions for infectious diseases.

Luck and good fortune be with you on the trip Europe. I'm genuinely jealous of the timing of your trip and location. Safe travels Doc!

Thanks :) Always a great time of year. London for a week then Castle Donington of Donington Park fame for a couple of weeks. A good time will be had :staRang Wishing you the happiest of holidays :party

Yes to lab modified.

Agree on peer review not automatically bestowing cred within the community, but it is the process for approval, correct? That there was no reason given for the withdrawing of the study is odd, despite the authors.

Thanks for the holiday wishes Stefan. Get good pics, please!
