Meet Time: Sat, 11AM, KSU 11:30AM 8/9/14 (Please be on time)

Things to know:

• Arrive with a full tank of gas. We are meeting at a gas station. Easy fill up there.
• Make sure your bike is in good operating condition. (Chain lubed? Check tire pressure?)
• As usual we will break into groups depending on who shows up (to accommodate varying skill levels) if necessary.
• Everyone is expected to ride within their comfort level.
• Safety is our priority.
• Experienced riders who wants to ride a mellow pace are always welcome.
• Volunteers for lead and sweep always welcome and appreciated.
• We will be making several planned stops to regroup and stretch any sore legs.
• All riding levels are welcome, Mellow pace required. PM or post if you have concerns.
• If you arrive after the pre ride speech, you must ride in the last group until the first rest stop.
• All riders are expected to have a basic understanding of our planned route.

• We will NEVER have a “A pace” group. Drag knees? No. Find a different ride.
• You can't ride without getting an 'achievement award'.... Find a different ride.

Yeah. Many of us, myself included, are at Thunderhill on Friday. So I won't get home till late, then unload the bike... I don't want to start early, then risk being late.

So this ride, with lunch post ride. Instead of in ride stop.

With 1 year of riding and 3300 miles is fine for this mellow ride. We usually split into groups depending on how many people show up. Group 1 is 20 miles above speed limit, group 2 is 10 miles above speed limit, and group 3 is the speed limit. Each group will have a "lead" and a "sweeper", the sweeper knows the route and will always stay behind. No one will get lost so you don't have to keep up with the person in front of you. Ride within your comfort level/pace. You can ride right in front of the sweeper, the sweeper will never leave you.
