KTM makes great dirt bikes, and they are made to be light. The kickstand on my 2017 500 EXC-F is light, but it is not very strong. A popular aftermarket kickstand was better, but had some other issues I wasn't happy with.
Also, I've been doing a lot of trail work lately and sometimes you stop in funny places and it makes parking the bike extra challenging.
I had read about the Swiftkicker adjustable stand and decided I would give it a try. Here's my initial impression:
Installed my new Swiftkicker last week, then did three days of trail riding and trail work in three different areas.
Parked my bike in many different places, uphill, downhill, off camber, mud, hard-pack, gravel river bed, snow, wheels in a rut, wheels on a crown, etc.
Always was able to adjust the stand to suit, never really had to look for a different place to park and never had to look for a rock or stick to put under the foot.
You still need to be careful to be easy on the stand, as it still mounts with and pivots on one 8mm bolt just like stock. But with the adjustable length you can avoid excessive lean angle and load on the pivot.
Game changer!
