I have been laughing about this all morning.

Sucks. Did not know donkey was a delicacy in parts of China.

I am almost always against regulation, especially heavy-handed, but when you have market failures (for example, lack and inability for the market to obtain information such as the source of meat), you need some sort of regulation. Of course, China's govt, especially local ones, aren't known as beacons of honesty/fairness.

It's a question of perspective. You might feel differently if you were in the fox meat business.

mixing the meat is not the worst part, imo. donkey, fox, horse, whatever.

britains were complaining of horse meat mixed with ground beef but horse is apparently more nutritious than cow.

the bigger problem is the chemicals (eg “The King of Rank Smell Removers" lol) used to change the fox flavor and whether they are safe or not.
