love is elemental, babe. foundational. at times like this, rather than the love you feel breaking your heart, think of it as a source of great strength. the ultimate fulfillment of love and compassion - to be the one there for him at the end. the one he trusts. the one he wants there with him. holding him, and easing his pain. that’s love. pure, selfless love.

was thinking it was going to be a knock down drag out. but logic prevailed, and i saw a thoughtful side of him i haven’t seen before. no reading into words. just straightforward words. now i’m thinking, in spite of the episodes of full-on crazy, i wasn’t wrong to have thought so highly of him. life-long friendship and partnership - forged. challenges ahead, but right now, am feeling… content.
 
we’re getting the house painted, and am thinking - the biggest thing i’m worried about is the scaffolding, and disruption to the mass quantity of hummers. maybe also the dudes trying to work while the birds are dive-bombing them. shit show?
