I googled about the state of electric yard tools in the context of professional landscaping crews, and how many batteries they needed, how it was working out.
The Interwebs consensus was that its possible, but not quite practical yet. That you must use the commercial grade tools, the quality and longevity is night and day, apparently. That you need, like a dozen batteries, and should have a charger on the truck as well.
The thing that tickled it for me was a video on fake batteries and the way the presenter chose to determine work and runtime was using an electric blower. And the blower was lucky to last 7 minutes. And that just didn't seem like a lot of time, especially for a professional landscaping crew.
If I could pay $1000 to electrify my gardener, I'd do it, but it looks like its a much larger investment than that.
