it looks like an angry bug, which isn't necessarily bad

Really would like my wife to get this bike so I can ride it some. I keep telling her it is the bike for her and I know what is best for her. She wants the S1000R though :rolleyes

I wish they have more exciting colors instead of just white/silver/black. That red on the Rocket 3 looks so good ...

I feel like they have been finding new ways to essentially resell the same bike over and over. Did they take a page out of Suzuki's handbook?

They bored out the 675 motor by 90cc.

Did I miss anything else?

They already did that two years ago. This is a refresh of the just-refreshed 765rs released in 2017. They basically just added slightly different headlights, auto-blipper, Euro-5 compliance, and some bluetooth module (which I've heard can be added retroactively to any Triumph with a TFT screen).

Triumph is definitely milking chronic buyers with these "revised" versions. They did the same thing with the new Speed Triple in 2015 or 2016 and refreshed 2017 version.

That's why I will never ever buy a Triumph

No, many changes to the engine.
More stout, more power, more torque!

I don't understand the complaint. Getting pissed about them doing minor optimizations and updates to their bikes throughout the lifetime of the bike doesn't make sense. IMO it's a good thing for them to constantly make their bikes better.

My Striple looks friendly whilst this new one looks very angry. I like it but I’ll stay with mine.

Your Wife is a BADASS!!!!! :thumbup The S1000R is (one of) my dream bikes.

It would be wasted on me, because I would only be able to ride it to 1% of it's potential.

John- I like that Triple, but I think that it's looks would turn me off after a period of time. I like your Kawasaki better.

She has the z900 right now and a DRZ400sm. The S1000R would be too much bike for her also. It would be too much bike for myself aswell. It would be fun to own for a while though.

Too funny.
We went down that path at my household as well.
Hyper ended up going with a Factory Tuono after going back and forth with the S1000r....that lasted for about a year and decided she wanted something less explosive.
Now she has a Street Triple RS and is very happy.:ride
