The asshat in question can get the fuck over it.
Yup. It's not like its a hardship for him to be a decent human to the rest of us. Fuck him square in the ass with a rusty chainsaw.

Having met the guy in question many times, the words decent and human definitely give me pause![]()
Pretty common actually, I have to maintain the sidewalk in front of my house, technically its "my" property but the city tells me what to do with it and can force me to pay for repairs/maintenance to allow the public to safely walk in front of my house. I can't go tear up the sidewalk and put in a fence that goes all the way to the edge of my property line.
Beach access could pretty easily be viewed as a big chunk of sidewalk to access a public area.

Need to borrow a chainsaw?

I'm more of a "pliers and blow torch" kind of guy.![]()
Consider all the possibilities of a barbed wire and glass encrusted cactus?
I'm willing to repaint your fancy little mitsubishi.

Good point. I recently had to do about 3K of new sidewalk because the City street trees tore it up. Government at work.![]()
Sounds like a suit in small claims court to me. I've been trying to get the city to remove the redwoods in my yard for years. They drop pine cones that dent the shit out of my car, and sap that ruins the paint. I've been able to get them to foot the bill for the damage, but only after asking them to remove them and have them refuse. The one that's over 100ft tall leans in at my house, and if/when it falls over, because I've asked them to remove it specifically for it leaning, I should have a pretty good case against them. "I told you so, and so did the arborist I hired in the report I submitted."

do you hear a ringing sound?
I've thought about that, but if I do something stupid, and it falls and comes back on me, the city will give me the bird for damages, and my insurance company will probably do the same. We've had a few of the redwoods in the neighborhood get bark beetles. I hope mines next, they'll be left with no choice then.
If it falls it's going to take out my living room, my dining room and my kitchen.

I've seen standing dead's on 80 for like a year. You can't drive by and not see them. They're a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Just a dead tree that's still standing. They stick out like a sore thumb being brown while everything else is green. Pretty sure this one is fully dead now and could cross the entire westbound lane.
