my life has been one long christmas eve - sugar plum fairies dancing in my head. and so many christmas mornings full of disappointment. history suggests i’m an idiot for getting my hopes up. but he asked for a call. with a tone that implies a truce. remains to be seen which way it goes.
 
I think Carl Hiaasen's new book, "Squeeze Me", is a perfect antidote for lock down, fires, street riots, politics, and Floriduh. Mostly Floriduh.

An acidic romp through the current culture with no prisoners taken.

I'm also thinking, I deserve a nice house and I will get it without a mortgage and without an enormouse increase in assed value.

Thinking about concept that people who are dumb are not aware they are dumb. Then realizing it also applies to me. It's turtles all the way down, and up.
 
I hope tomorrow is ok. I hope people in big cities with a lot of unrest are peaceful.

SF was cool for a few days, good to see my Sunday fam but I am glad to be home in Oregon again.

noticed early this evening the 20’ tall red cape honeysuckle had exploded into bloom. almost as if it knew i needed something to smile about. me and the hummers are happy. and of course the bees. happy bees are beyond adorable.
 
I’m thinking:
All we need is The Snaf and our world will once again be whole.
Also thinking of the fab yacht Bob more than a decade ago, cigarette smoke curling up from under the awning, and how its LB’s turn to be treated to dinner.
