Trike lanesplitting (badly!)

In the words of the venerable Dr Peter Venkman, "We have to get these two together."

That was pretty fricking wack!

Haha well I have to say that wasn't that bad until he just started slalom through the cars. His biggest mistake was trying to ride with his buddies those guys poor riding etiquette, just weaving in an out all over the places. The Spyder looks like a gokart on the freeway.

I really thought we were going to see a crash. His buddy following was another candidate for the award.

A couple years ago I posted about someone doing this on Hwy. 4 in morning commute. Looked just as idiotic then.

They are really comfortable to ride. i don't know how comfy the smaller ones are but i rented the Spyder F3 the big cruiser one and did a long ride on it and it was so comfy I could have just kept one riding the whole day.

Someone please remind me why these 3 wheeled things exist.

I ask myself this question each and every time I see one. I don't get it either.
All of the disadvantages of a motorcycle with none of the benefits.
It's the Jet-Ski debate all over again. The stand-ups are like motorcycles and I can entertain myself all day but I get bored on the sit-downs after about 45 minutes.

Long time friend has one. After several medical problems, he can no longer ride a 2 wheeler. His spyder lets him ride and enjoy. He does not ride like the A-hole in the video.

That is the one and only justification I'll listen to. That said, I will hang up my helmet if/when my physical condition gets to that point.
You'll never see me on a quad either, for that matter.

Agreed on that being the only justification I've ever thought was valid. Not taking away from anyone who has one for that reason and I'm glad they have that option to keep the passion going. But me thinks that is a small percentage of owners.

For the rest of them, don't get why they don't just buy a bike. Like the feeling Jeff expressed, all of the disadvantages, none (or at the very least much fewer) of the benefits.

What a bunch of absolute douchebags. I don't wish bad things to happen to other riders, but it's hard to hold back when you see a group riding like that.

I notice people here criticizing the driver of the Can-Am Ryker, when the only mishap I saw in the video was the camera bike running into the Can-Am. Looked like no damage done though.

I totally get why people would drive 3 wheelers. Fun cars that can use the HOV lane. And apparently if you're bold enough, split lanes.

I didn't really get why you'd want a non-leaning vehicle like this Can-Am with motorcycle seating & controls, rather than a Polaris Slingshot, Morgan 3, or Campagna T-Rex with car seating & controls. Until I saw this one lane splitting. Looked hard enough with the little Ryker. Harder in the bigger trikes I'm sure.

If I wanted a trike though, I'd still lean toward a Slingshot.

I’ve test driven both styles of three wheeler. The best way to describe how they drive is a “shopping cart”. But still better then not ridding.

I can pretty easily split lanes with this, well not super easy but I would totally do it.

^^
I stopped seeing stuff like that as soon as I stopped drinking.
