StonyBARF 14 September 30 - Oct 3 , 2021 is ON!

t was great meeting some new folks and seeing the familiar. Awesome time. Big thanks to St. John (sfmcJohn) and elemental(?) for taking us up to St. John’s mountain:thumbup. And I have a huge amount of gratitude for suckatash and GwarHawk for rescuing me and helping my gimpy ass get packed up after I chucked myself and the bike into a ditch with “reckless malice":laughing

And finally Big thanks to the whole Stoneybarf crew, glad I finally made it. Looking forward to seeing the pics and looking forward to the next one.

Back from Stonyford, my first. I brought my e-assist mountain bike. At least I had a motor :ride and could make vroom sounds (and ring-ding-ding).

I had a WTF moment, after loading the van. I loaded the Kawi on the new rack and was shocked :wow. to see how unstable, pivoting on the front wheel.

I checked around for truck or trailer rentals, but no dice. So I grabbed the next best thing...

Good seeing you people again. Next time I'll be motor-vated.

Just returned, thanks to all who joined us this weekend. Great catching up with old friends and meeting new folks. It wasn't quite the same without the BIG campfire, but still a lot of fun. Thanks to John and Jeff, we had some portable propane fire pits for ambiance as folks congregated in smaller groups during the evening throughout the campground.

Swimming holes were enjoyed.... bikes were still ridden.. drinks consumed... and stories told (even some embellished ones.) :laughing :thumbup

The trials bikes were a hoot Saturday night, and while the 6' circle was attainable for some of us...... the 5'6" was left to the pro's riding it full lock. :x

I don't know what the game is called where we had 6 full size bikes in a slow race derby within a square, but it was a BLAST even if I was often the first loser. :applause Definitely need to incorporate both for next Stonybarf.

There was some question as to who had more wins, Luke or Rebekah. Perhaps there is some photo or video evidence of the games as they progressed. :twofinger

Kyle and Butch, you were missed!

Just arrived home!! So h go lad to have made it up and to see friends old and new.
Huge shoutouts to all the folks who look after each other.
Big thanks to Mrs. KTM Jack and Amy for riding dull and going for confidence building.

Thanks to Rebekah for being the Stonybarf CPA.

Glad you guys had fun. I’ll be there next April or so.
Pick a date and I’ll make the reservation…

A few random pix. Good times! Great people!

Good riding and seeing people up there. Had a good time playing on the trials bike at both creeks and doing the tight circle. Always amazes me how much fun you can have with a couple of cones on flat ground with these things. You peeps all did very well with that considering none of you had spent much if any time on one, full lock turns are a little bit of a trick until you get it.

Thanks Dub and Rebeka for taking me along on that trail ride. TJ and Allie were good company and the trails Dub picked were classic ones I've always liked to ride, especially that 4 to 3 stint we did off Goat mountain. So many logs and trees down out there, really glad nobody had a get off into any of that. Seeing all those 1" or so branches pointing at you as you zip down the trail was a constant reminder to keep it under control.

Hopefully we'll get some of the old crew back at the next one and get Butch, then things will have truly turned full circle.

That was a blast! Thanks so much for putting it on and helping me show the kid yet another way that moto people are the best people :love

Couple from St John's; Aaron, Matty and John getting to the top. Thought I had Ben in here too but didn't see him, riders are so small in the pics anyways.

Other one is from up on Goat Mt, classic spot to have a bite and enjoy the view; about 20 miles out from camp on some fun trails (6...)

Good times

Nice meeting and talking to @Motorcycle_RN -- of which we probably covered MOST of the LA Punk scene of the 80s.

Great sunset ride Friday night led by Luke where a guy named George surprised me on a turn. My TTR was a bit of a disaster but I had fun.

Hope @matty recovers soon from his little oopsie. And many thanks to @GwarHawk for introducing me to all these wonderful misfits.

Not April 23-24 either, that's likely VCGP 2022 race weekend

Thanks for the vid, Jack. Makes me feel like I'm right back there (although we ran 6 in the other direction I think).

Watching Jack’s video all I can think is WoW he’s doing that on a 500!
