WKRP in Cincinnati; great show.

“ Hesseman died Saturday in Los Angeles due to complications from colon surgery, his manager Robbie Kass said Sunday.”

Ouch.

Oh man, sorry to hear that.

You just brought back a lot of good memories of that show, and Miss Loni Anderson! She had the hots for me I know it! But then I woke up.

He will always be the incomparable Mr. Smooth Walker to me.

RIP, sir. :rose

Iirc, the actual music played was "Old Time Rock n Roll", but I don't think they have the rights to replay it.

... and Bailey was the hot one, not Jennifer. :laughing

Howard was great in WKRP and Head of the Class and in several other roles. RIP Howard!

Agreed, we listened to that 2 Tdays ago and were just rolling. And Les Nesman did a great job of channeling the original Hindenburg disaster reporter.

RIP Johnny Fever

This is so true. It's the Ginger/Mary Ann debate all over again. :thumbup
That was a really good show. I'm rather sad it took an RIP thread for me to recall it. I was surprised it only ran 4 seasons. Like most sitcoms of that era, I watched it on a seemingly endless loop of syndication. That gave it longer legs than it really had. (speaking of legs, now back to Bailey :leghump)

The turkey drop was awesome. The show was way reverent about the Who concert catastrophe. Peeps died. They respected the issues…

Bailey. Just sayin.

Another episode confronted the rise of the evangelical Moral Majority in the early 1980's not too long after John Lennon was shot.

I don't believe they ever mentioned The Who, or named the band at all, on that episode, but the connection was made as the tragic Who concert was in Cincy.

HH hanging with the fun peeps y'know...
