Sierra Nevada Motochampsionship Northern Nevada Kart Club minimoto put on a 12 Hour Endurance race on May 25, 2025. It similar to the 24 hour race we had last year in Redding, California at the Shasta Supermoto track. This took place at Desert Park Raceway in Reno, Nevada. There were 2 classes to race in a light weight and a heavyweight classes. Light weight was 4-stroke bikes up to 160cc. Heavyweight is 4-stroke bikes up to 230cc. I raced in the same team I raced with last year's endurance race Team Ram Rod on our KTM 525 with a CRF230 engine.
May 24th was the practice day. I took the WR250E along so I can see how well it does on the kart track there and it surprisingly does very well! You can get a look at what it will look like on the track during the race the coming day.
This practice I rode with a KLX140, the Ram Rod 230, and a FS450. So you can get an idea where the WR250E performs against different size bikes. It's definitely not as fast as a 450.
This was my practice on the Ram Rod 230 on the practice day. I wanted to get 20 minutes on the bike to get used to it again, test reliability, and see how much fuel it consumed. Our goal was to have the rider swaps and refuel every hour. So were we seeing if we could go a full hour without running out of fuel.
