Surly makes excellent bicycles!
That’s what @tag3, who used to own a bicycle shop, told me. As did @N4teTheGreat. I’ve long admired them and finally decided to “splurge.” It’s not the expensive bike ever but I believe it will serve me well for a long time to come.

:D A'Pexi N1 exhaust for my Civic Type-R. Should be installed later today.

Safety first (y)
100%. I have a bit of metal in my left foot, so I am trying to be really careful with it, and the drop bars on this bike are 100% new territory for me, so there's already a fair amount of learning new muscle memory involved. I don't need to add clipping and unclipping from pedals to that mess or I will have a repeat of my chain drop bonk, which really hurt. I am fat. I fall hard.

:rofl

Tried it today at a jeep dealer, measured the hood temperature of a black truck and white truck parked next to each other.
Black truck registered 67C, white truck 40C. That’s a big difference so verified by checking a few others and got similar results.
All vehicles facing same direction, facing the sun. Targeted the middle of the hood.
Air temp was 24C
