Yep, they suck. Left, Right, they lie, cheat, and are just telling you what they think you want to hear. They suck, all of them. Vote for who makes your nipples tingle but don't expect much except things that will piss you off.

Enjoy your election, prepare for disappointment no matter who wins.

I guess Saturday night didn't work out for ya?

I disagree. If Obama is elected, a wind of change, a virtual hurricane of renewal will sweep through our land, pushing out corruption, evil and decay. All will benefit except a few very rich people, and even they will be showered with gratitude. A new nation will emerge, purer, more vibrant and whole.

On the other hand, if McCain is elected, a Renaissance of wellness will strike the nation, like a dead elephant at a vulture's convention. Business will thrive, prosper and grow. Taxes will disappear, and free enterprise triumph. The good will be rewarded, the bad punished. Family values will thrive. Charity will triumph and goodness and mercy will reign.

Both will enact every campaign promise they made, and with a wave of the hand magically disappear the $2 trillion national debt. Within four years a cornucopia of prosperity will threaten poverty in every corner of the world, and all evil will be vanquished.

So get out there and vote for GOOD! I promise you will like it. Trust me. Donations to pass this message on may be sent to ernie@goodnessnmercy.com

Little early for you to be drinking, eh?

whoever gets into office will pretty much do the same things, try to look effective in the mess some else made while not making the situation worse.
Internationally Obama will make other countries less nervous while McCain will make american bussiness less nervous, either way there's still going to be a lot of nrevous people ready freak out about whichever way the country goes.
Both canidates have a good chance of not suriving their fisrt term so the VP may be important.

In 4 years my life will be the same no matter who is elected.

I control my own destiny and will adjust to the winds of change to maximize any advantage I can gain to provide for my family and prepare my children to survive and thrive in this world.

I control my own destiny...

Another couple right-wing Supreme Court appointments may convince you otherwise. Say 'bye-bye' to the Constitution and what we have left of our civil rights.

I support a third party candidate, but I hope Obama wins only because the next president will likely have 1-3 appointments to make. And though I personally like McCain better, I feel he (or virtually any Republican for that matter) is incapable of making a responsible Supreme Court appointment.
This duty is a critically important, yet largely overlooked, executive responsibility.

That said, I feel Obama's non-support of second amendment rights, combined with his failure to address the way our fourth amendment rights have been abridged by the present administration, indicates that he will not be a champion of any citizen. I really don't like him.

:rofl:rofl :thumbup thanks for the laugh!

Its standard practice campaign promises, expire election day.

Using Feinstein as an example. Come campaign time she'll move to the political middle. Disarms any reservations about voting for her by spouting bipartisan statements. A representative for All. You get fooled once by this rhetoric. Because in reality after the election she reverts to a mindless pawn, who tows the party line like no other. Even corrupting other representatives to tow the party line.
A total waste of Senate representation for a majority of Californians. On this subject people get mesmerized by the lie every election. It belies the common sense remark "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me".

Voting for incumbents one autta easily see how they acted before. Voting for them will be more of the same.
I can only think voters have a sense of loyalty by reelecting incumbents. Very honorable notion by the people wasted on politicians.

You are a little off on the National debt. 10 trillion and counting...:laughing

U.S. NATIONAL DEBT CLOCK
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 02 Nov 2008 at 11:12:22 PM GMT is:

$10,542,567,076,063.57

The estimated population of the United States is 305,022,873
so each citizen's share of this debt is $34,563.20.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$3.83 billion per day since September 28, 2007!

Yeah...lame:thumbdown

Every election, all I can think is "Is this the best we can do?"

We have so many brilliant people in the nation...captains of industry, MIT grads and professors of history. EVERY election we have to "decide between two evils". Obama seems to be just slick, and that scares me more than Mccain's VP. Voting for him seems to be like voting for a professional speech writer, nothing more. I'm crossing my fingers on my Mccain vote as well, as I'm voting for his experience. We'll see! In any case, I'm really happy not to have to listen to any campaign ads for a while.
