2009 Rydther Rally - BARF in Hawthorne (Sept 25-27)

We got home around 7:15. 1005 miles total. My ass hurts.

Cherry Lake Rd was a fun, but long detour home.

That was an awesome weekend, it was nice to meet so many people.

Got home at 6ish.. had a great ride back with you guys, but I totally agree Gina - now that I've done the yosemite route I'm not doing it again next time - it's one of those things you should do once :)

I think it must have been over 100 coming through 120 going towards 5. Even at 85mph on 205 it was still HOT. It cooled off a little as the sun set, but it was still pretty warm back in San Jose. Didn't take a ton of pics, but I have a few good ones that I took at the halfdome lookout that I'll try to get posted tomorrow.

In.. why don't we go have a beer in Nevada more often? :party Cherry Lake road was sweet... For a moment in between the deer and cows crossing in front of me I thought I had died and went to twisty heaven. :teeth

And magicaly I made it all the way back from Nevada without having to go on any freaking dirt :twofinger

How hot was it for you guys in the valley on 120/108? When I went through there around 12-1'ish, the hottest it got was in Manteca where I was showing 104 but I was feeling the heat pretty much from about an hour north or Sonora.

Got home along with dub and pelon just as night fell tonite, 1298 miles and a new personal land speed record on the borrowed liter bike :ride :banana

Holy Shit, Jeff you outdid yourself organizing the two-wheeled assault on Joe's!

Great to see everyone out in the wastelands.

P.S. ALL YOUR FAULT FREDDO!

thanks everyone , organizers!!!

Good to ride with you, Triple Threat / Mort / Bob group!!! Wish I had managed to tag along today, too--I got home alone through Sonora. Oh yeah, good that I met Volcomism, too =) Yosemite is worth the visit.

wow...didn't know this was a facebook ride! :twofinger :teeth

So what about us that don't do facebook...would be nice to see the stuff here. :dunno

It was 107 in Mariposa (SR140) aroud 2:30pm. It was so hot that we abandoned the plan to hit the Little Dragon on 49. That was a good call, since we ran out of time anyway.

Well, let's see... there is no reason for you NOT to have a FaceBook account, even if you don't post anything ever.... Then you might be able to read comments string on specific pictures, but who wants that?:twofinger
I will be posting all my stuff on the BARF rally photo thread, it just takes a bit more prep work than putting it on FB. It will all be up in the next couple days.

Sorry for breaking off from the group but I had to get home to the wife :sex

I ended up slabbing it on HWY50 after showing some RUBs how to make full use of the passing lanes over echo summit :ride

Then a little lane splitting clinic for some FXDX pilots sporting Michigan plates through Placerville :teeth

That was a great time. Can't wait to do it again

Ah, the Great Lane Sharing Challenge of 2009, fun for all. Thank you Placerville for putting a traffic signal in the middle of a highway.

Glad I took 88 to 26 home rather than 50 through Tahoe. Can't split in the drop top.

Brilliant trip!... this is the 3rd year or the 4th... I thought it was the 4th myself... anyhow, was great to see people I haven't seen in a while and was great to meet all of you who I actually met... though I can't really say I got BARF handle and names down. I hope I can remember names next time I see you, I'm terribly bad at it ask anyone.
