Almost 13 pages. Wow. This would have done well in the sink.. Anyway. Is Mort jealous? I doubt it. Here's why, and I think he'll agree.

Money can't buy class. That's for damned certain. It can buy flashy vehicles. But would an affluent individual with class rev such a desmosedici in such a manner, as to show off? Not if they've got class. At which point, all we're left with is affluence and poor decision making skills. Consider Paris Hilton. Are you jealous of that?

I didn't think so.

If I or anyone were to post a thread about bad drivers cutting them off, would you guys automatically say they were jealous and wanted to be a bad driver too?

I really can't understand why people keep saying I'm jealous. :rolleyes

No but if you were to quote us a price and then go on to tell us how unimportant money is and how unimpressed you are and how you wouldn't want one even if you could afford one a few flags start getting raised, a few alarms start going off if you will, it raises a few suspicions, a few eyebrows, it catches some attention, it begs the question.

Yes, you have a 60k+ desmosedici, great, good for you, we're all happy for you.
The rest of us- stood by watching, shaking our heads in disgust, wishing you'd hurry the fuck along and stop disturbing our breakfast!:(

Chill Dude - muffler fell of the KLR, that's all. Sorry 'bout the loud sounds. Let me buy you a beer (or two)! :)

Almost 13 pages. Wow.

Wrong. Mort told us that while money may not BUY class he always associated money WITH class and maturity. So I guess that Mort assumed that Paris has both.

He assumed wrongly. But that's not to say he's jealous. I'm pretty sure we could all agree on certain prominent Hollywood figures who most certainly have money, but definitely lack class.

If Paris gets to have a good time revving a wicked exotic bike, and I don't...then yeah, I'm jealous of that.

Had I been there, I would have appreciated it...Perhaps I would have been offended had I been somewhere else, rather than someplace I go specifically to see and hear bikes.

you are correct sir. I did assume a man that could afford such an amazing machine would have the class and maturity to NOT rev the bike as he did.
I offer deepest and most sincere apologies to all I offended in my misguided assumption.:)

Momentary lapse on your part, I'm sure it won't happen again anytime soon.

So if he was classy he would have humbly gotten on his bike and rode off at 10% throttle quietly? I will never understand why if you have something nice you have to go the extra mile not to draw attention to yourself or you get the gallons of haterade.

Apology accepted. Now we can be friends again.

Precisely.

Classy things draw attention to themselves on their own. The owner could have easily decided to walk in for a bite to eat while gawkers gathered outside. The rider chose, however, to draw attention to something that needs no attention drawn, as it handles that quite well on its own.

This is a textbook example of a motorcycle performing perfectly until a rider jumped abroad and drug it down.
