My old Supertechs were really not doing well after a little less than two years. Soles torn up, left zipper broken, hole in one boot that kept the toe slider from staying on, velcro coming apart, etc. I've been hunting around for a decent boot replacement, and coming up empty.
Then I read about the Alpinestars boot repair program, and decided to try it out. I called and got an RMA number, and shipped the boots down to Torrance just after the holidays. Today, I got the boots back - resoled, zipper repaired, hole repaired, velcro repaired, new toe and heel sliders. They're not cosmetically 100%, but they seem functionally 100%, and it was a lot cheaper than a new pair of boots. I do like these boots - they're ugly, but comfortable and functional, and I can now keep them.
Their hold music is a sprotbile revving. I appreciate that.
Dead soles:
New soles.
Broken zipper and separated velcro
Repaired.
Hole.
Repaired.
