The build-up thread: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225305

I've put about 6k street miles on this converted motard and it's been very, very fun, but I need to fund some home improvements. This bulletproof air-cooled bike weighs less than a DRZ and puts out more power. It cruises nicely at 70mph and can loft the front over a rise in 3rd gear - sometimes 4th. I have maintained it according to (my own) strict guidelines:

Oil/filter changed every 1k miles (Mobil synthetics)
Air filter cleaned/oiled at oil/filter changes (SWAAF Rock Oil)
Valves checked every 1k miles (finally had to adjust one by .001 after 6k street miles)

I have a complete service/mod history dating back to my purchase of the bike.

Current parts and mods
Eibach springs, front and rear
Race-Tech Gold Valve kit, front
Love from Phil at Aftershocks (set up for street SM @ 170 lbs.)
Warp 9 17" wheels, laced to stock hubs with Buchanan heavy-duty spokes
120 front (Maxxis 6118), 150 rear (Pirelli Diablo Rosso) tires with ~1000 miles
Renthal 520 chain, front (15T) and rear (45T) sprockets
EBC Pro-Lite Contour 320mm front rotor and caliper relocator
EBC stock-size Contour rear rotor
EBC sintered front pads
BlackStar sintered rear pads
Cycra Pro-Bend handguards
SME sliders all around (bar-ends, pegs, axles)
Scotts fork brace
Scotts rear rotor guard
Bash plate
XRs Only carb choke plate
Replaced old rings
XRs Only magnetic drain plugs
Pro-Circuit exhaust with Supertrapp baffles/end-cap
Acerbis rear fender w/DRC Edge 2 LED brake/tail light
LED front/rear blinkers
Shortened side-stand
Probably some other items that I can't remember at the moment...

Niggles
There is some very minor rust on the frame. If I were to keep the bike, I would strip it down over the winter and powdercoat the frame.
The rear LED signals worked when they were installed, but something happened to the wiring. The fronts work fine.
The battery pack for the light kit is old and could stand to be replaced, but this does not affect the lights, blinkers or horn - it just doesn't really hold a charge.

Firm-and-Fair Pricing
Bike with SM set-up only: $3000
Bike with SM and dirt set-ups: $3300

SM set-up includes everything listed above. I'm not interested in parting out the SM wheels/rotors.

Dirt set-up includes stock 18" and 21" wheels, used chain and sprocket(s), new sprocket(s), used rotor(s), two rear and one front Kenda dirt tires.

This weekend, I rode the 'tard from Vallejo to San Jose (via Grizzly/Skyline/Pinehurst/Redwood :D) on Saturday, then 9, 35, Alpine, Pescadero and 92 on the way home on Sunday. Such fun! :ride

Price dropped, just in case someone needed a little push over the edge...

If it doesn't sell, I'll be happy to spank it for a while longer. :D

Final price drops for winter. Get a combo street/dirt/hooligan bike for a damned reasonable price... :D

El bumpo.

Oil & filter just got changed and I cleaned/oiled the air filter, too. Then she got a bath.

I did 40 miles of very fun Napa twisties on Sunday. :D

This is now back on the market with new pricing to help it along. I just don't have time to ride it. :(

If it doesn't sell, I'll just continue to improve it little by little and "save" it until I get some time back, but I would rather have someone else enjoy it. :)

Damn, wish I had the money for a tard...

A couple questions that other people may want to know the answers to:
what sort of riding is the suspension set up for (dirt or tard), what rate springs, etc?

Is the stock rear a 19? i'm pretty sure it's an 18...

I mentioned it, but it probably got lost in the extensive list of mods. :) Suspension is set up for "aggressive street riding" @ 170# using Eibach springs (12.5kg rear, don't remember front but I have the box to check) and Race Tech Gold Valves (front). The rear is a little softer than I would like, but that's just me being lazy and not dialing up the pre-load.

Sorry, I fat-fingered it and the rear wheel is, indeed, an 18". I edited the initial post. :)

you had to do this RIGHT WHEN I BOUGHT MY APRILIA !!!!!! jerk...

i need myself a trackbike and a streetbike and a dirt bike and i already have the older brother to your xr

SO.. I'm not asking enough for my XR.. huh? that's why it won't sell? It's either gotta be free or 3000k?
