How to greet fellow riders?

If you are new to street riding I would just nod and focus on what you are doing.
There is enough to concentrate on without worrying about waving.

I used to make goofy faces and throw a thumbs-up...then one day I realized I wear a tinted visor...

Yesterday was my first street riding. I drove about 50mi.
50 miles on your first day?! Gadzooks! You don't believe in baby steps, do you?

For your first 1,000 miles, don't worry about greeting, just concentrate on your training.

BTW, it's "ride", not drive.

Ride safe,

Marc.

There's this super secret special uber tricky maneuver known only to motorcyclists, where you let go of one of the bars, lift your hand, and wiggle it in the air. Now you know our deep secret. Next you shall learn the special handshake.

"Both hands on this one for certain!"

...In a super serious voice, but while pointing at handle bars with his left hand :rofl:rofl:rofl
For some reason that struck me as absolutely hilarious

i waved at a group of riders today and the only person that waved bak was someone on the bak of a bike lol

so i say FUCK WAVING AT OTHER RIDERS!! :twofinger

just lift ur hand up and if they don wave bak pretend like ur stretchin =]

That way, your feelings don't get hurt. :(

Oh and if it's a moto cop and he doesn't wave back, be sure to bitch at everyone you know about how cops are big fat jerks.

Wave with your clutch hand. When meeting dismounted riders, a playful underhanded slap is appropriate. Cupping indicates you approve of their chain maintenance.
