Yup. I'm indoctrinating this cat on the tenets of the klan. He just learned the salute. He'll be sporting a bald head and combat boots by this weekend if nobody adopts him.

I want him too, but I know that this is not the best home for him. Our three other cats have full outdoor privileges (cat door), and exercise them multiple times a day. I couldn't keep a deaf cat safely inside.

Plus, two of our cats are FIV+, and one is a bit of a bully. I could see a bad situation happening with a cat who couldn't hear another cat approaching, doing a defensive whap in surprise and a cat fight arising. Bad for the new cat, bad for the immuno-suppressed cats.
 
One of my cats is FIV+ but haven't tested the other two. I think that there are a LOT of perfectly healthy FIV+ cats out there.

I have the same situation, though - I let the boys out periodically to play outside - they come back when they hear me whistle or shake the food bucket or treats bag/jar.

I have a friend who could keep an indoors kitty - his 12 y.o. son wants a cat - and they'd match (the kid is a blue eyed blond!). Will check with them when they get back from their weekend.
 
Unless someone steps forward with a serious need for this little boy...they have kids or cats that need the company.....my friend Tom will take him tomorrow or Saturday. Nothing like white cat hair on a man that always wears black :teeth
