Wow! That is quite an injury list. It always scares the sh*t out of me anytime I see the medics roll for a crash. I wish you all the best and hope to see you back out at a PTT event soon, but until then stay focused on the healing process.

Thanks for all the well wishes! It is still hard to reconcile what actually caused my bike to betray my super effective, expertly finessed control. LOL.
If I had grabbed too much throttle coming out of the carousel, got t-boned going into nine or high sided at 2, this would all make more sense. But nearly perpendicular at 50-60mph in the friggin' hot pit/track entrance????

I have a theory as to what made my injuries so serious but will form a postulation and run it through barf crash analysis at a later date.
For now- pain and progress!

In case anyone doesn't remember, that SuperDuke is one good crasher!
I haven't seen it but I am told that I didn't even break a rear set!
I just bought an electric wheelchair so I will be buzzing the paddock at round 2!

Damn Rob ,I thought I was the only one to crash into the hot pit wall (kickstand down in 2005 Broken neck) Believe me EVERYONE was praying for ya when the Helo was comin in .Heres to a full recovery Brother:thumbup

It was so scary, the track shut down for a crash, we're hanging in the pits talking. Then after a few minutes I notice that Rob's bike is not back yet, and his bike is not parked under his canopy, that was a sinking feeling. :(

When we loaded up your bike Rob all I can remember is the front wheel was bent but the rest of the bike seemed in decent shape!
 
Yes, I did hear that the Marchesini:cry:cry wheel was broken, not bent.
I didn't hit the wall but my bike sure did, I guess.

Budman, the team performed as expected. They all rallied around, policed up my stuff and hauled my gear and trailer home. Freeing up my girlfriend to come be with me in the trauma room.
I am so proud of these guys!
I can't wait to share the season with them!

Wheelchairs is waiting. I will be at Round 2! HOHW!

BTW,
if a motor goes in that thing it will be the Mighty LC8!

Other than the front wheel, bars, and some plastic bits, the bike actually looked pretty good, for what it's worth.

When I saw the Heli arrive I was like ahhh yuck.

Then I heard a guy broke his leg. I was like wuh? Why on a heli for a broken leg?

Dang, reading about the damage your body suffered I'm thankful they put you on the heli!

Allow your body time to heal!
