ok to park on sidewalks at shopping malls?

good on ya for not taking and being conscious of others and their surroundings. It's truely the 'me' humans on this planet that stain it.

tell me, what is it exactly that gets sand in your vagina about someone parking out of the way next to a building? not in anyone's way, not blocking a pathway, just tucked in nice and tidy.

describe to me how a moto parked next to macy's creates a stain on antioch.

i got ticketed for parking on teh sidewalk. i parked it right next to the bicycle lockstuff too. felt it was lame cuz i have a bike too? C'mon!

but meh, whatever. i park in a parking spot now. most malls come with designated motorcycle spots.

On Antioch?? It wouldn't... and if it did, it would just blend with all the other stains... :laughing

Is it ok to park on the sidewalks of shopping malls? I know public sidewalks are off limits, but I'm getting mixed answers about "private property" such as Walmarts, Targets, restaurants, and malls in general.

Private property depends on the policy; you can always check w/ the property management if you park there regularly.

I, personally, park at such locations all the time, but I make sure my bike isn't in the way of people esp any disabled folks in wheelchairs and strollers. Usually this means I'll only park on very large areas/sidewalks. So far, for the last many years, never an issue.

Doesn't matter where you park it in Emeryville, it's not likely to be there when you come back out.

Just seems selfish to hog a whole parking spot for a single bike. Also I've seen a car pull in and knock a bike over once before and drove away. But I don't know. I guess I can just park in a regular space lol.

wow that's so fucked

I actually talked to a DPT officer about this matter. You can park on the sidewalk next to private property, just as long as the property is yours or you know the person that owns it. You have to park very close to the property and not block the sidewalk. This was proven twice, at differnent locations, when I have to call in to ticket a car for parking in a green zone in front of my store. Never got a ticket for parking on the sidewalk.

Bless my office. They have motorcycle-specific parking in each of their 4 parking lots and its a premium location.

Mmmmmmmm sandy vagina :drool

My bike has been hit&run knocked over while in parking spots twice now. There will not be a 3rd time if I can help it. I park as close to a building and as out of the way as possible. I will park in diagonal zones, next to a fire hydrant that's surrounded by curbs, or at the end of a bicycle rack. If I'm meeting up with someone and they're caging it, if there's room I'll park in front of their cage in the parking stall to protect my bike. Do what you gotta do, just don't block walkways, fire hydrants, emergency exits, etc.

I work security at a target and there is no rule in targets directives about motorcycles parking on the sidewalk, that being said its purely at the discretion of security or a manager. Lots of people at my target ride and we all park on the sidewalk infront of the store when in off the clock. I also tell riders I see parking off in the parking lot somewhere to park on the sidewalk next time. I see all the retards who drive through the lot and there is no way I would leave my bike out there, so I pass on the knowledge.
