I know everyone likes a different tire. But if you haven't ridden these yet then how can you really say one tire is the best. I was lucky enough to test them all. For a budget racer. Nothing can beat the performance life of the Bridgestones. Yeah sure you could run Pirelli Corsa Pro slicks but those are as hard as a rock. These tires are one of the stickest tires ive ridden. When i put my bike away the other day after testing. I tried getting the bike out of the wheel chock. I couldn't, it took three people to pull it out becuase the front tire was so sticky that it basically glued it self to the chock.

Bridgestone really has brought the tire tech from MotoGP and made it avaliable to the club racer. As far as price goes i don't think you could even touch a set of a Pirelli's or Dunlops for under 425$. The Bridgestones are 350$

Check them out and make up your own mind. But i think you won't be disapointed :thumbup

You aren't using one of those Cycle Gear Trackside wheel chocks are you? Because any tire will get lodged in there and require multiple people to remove from the chock.... :p

I've seen one group of trackday folk who used 3 of them on a trailer have to attack their tires with a big flathead screwdriver to try to remove their tires from transport. Sure wasn't pretty.

Otherwise, glad to be hearing more R10 reviews :thumbup

my front tire always used to get stuck inside the HF wheel chock. its easier to remove the bike by yourself (sans 3 ppl) if u lift up on the wheel by one of the spokes, comes out ok enough. now, i slide a small plate of sheet metal (big enough so that no edges touch the tire) in between the tire and the chock and nothing gets stuck.

changing tire brands soon, might actually consider the R10s

Spraying bedliner on the chock helps. Even my baxley was a PITA until I sprayed it :2cents

Good tip Rory!

I hated that trackside stand too when I used it last week. Super annoying!

It's not the level of outright grip that makes a difference at the limit, it's HOW that grip goes away/ comes back that seems to matter. You can't save anything where it's got tons of grip and then...nothing.

I see the track records and winners on Pirelli. That tire may not have the life, but it had the novice predictability and great grip, along with excellent slide characterisitics. That's a huge thing for mental confidence.

Good points on predictability; I've heard the same. But track records can be misleading.

I've never low sided in a wheel chock before... I like my tires to grip on the racetrack.

*not my video, saw it on FB put 2&2 together.

1st session of the day on lap # 2. session got black flagged in 5 minutes. Someone else crashed on the back strait at the bridge:shocker. I didn't get 2 full laps before it was black flagged:thumbdown

sure would be helpful for the newbies if everyone pimping their tire in these tire threads disclosed how much they paid for them.

it is on their web site. I do know that sponsored riders have it is their contracts not to give out that info. :x:p

Brutal. Almost feel bad for Peter.

Hopefully nothing since he forgot to even mention Viets by name. Jeff is probably having a fit.

Interesting performance metric; best for sticking to the wheel chock. RRW & Sport rider should include it in their next comparo.
