Any ideas on design?

This is sobering news. I never met Gary but he is a big reason why i switched from my gsxr to a 250. It really has me soul searching about riding. Superman is not supposed to die.

RIP Gary... this is very sad news. Still can't believe it! :wow

Like many of the posters here, I've ridden with him & taken advice from him when I first started riding as a teen in the very hills that took his life. This guy seemed like the perfect motorcyclist- carving up the Santa Cruz mountains at a pace that most can't maintain on motorcycles with 6 times the power everyday for god knows how many years (incident free- till now).

man... i think it's time to hang up the helmet and gloves...

when a guy as experienced, knowledgeable & talented as gary dies on a 250cc motorcycle (one that isn't capable of anywhere near the warp speeds other sportbikes easily achieve), tells me that the rest of us don't stand a chance & can go any time. Major reality check... especially for those of us who frequent the same type of twisties he did.

Condolences to his family and friends. :rose

Along with the deep sadness his passing has left, it has also left me questioning myself. Gary was a person who I would have loved to magically copy his skill to use as my own; and this has questioned my own place on the seat.

I will of course keep riding, but this has been a major reality check.

Thanks for your teaching and riding Gary. You will be missed. :rose :rip

Jeff and I stopped at Gary's memorial today on the way back from Paso Robles. I am sorry to say that I never met Gary but of course knew of him and what he contributed to the community from BARF. My sincerest condolences to all who knew him and to his family.

Long may you run. :rip :rose

I'd rather celebrate a man's life than mourn his death.

Agreed. Far better to focus on all the positive things Gary did for the community than on his passing.

If you add up all the good things he did and the mistakes he made, the good wins by a landslide.

I like the brighter of the designs as it looks like the colors of his bike and helmet.

I'm in for several stickers as well.At least 5

Terrible loss. I hope we on this board and beyond are able to maintain his legacy of rider community education, progression and critique. RIP, Gary J.

Wow! I can't believe this news. Met Gary back in 2002 at a suspension setting fundraiser. Met him a few more times over the years at Doc Wong clinics and some other rides. Sad news, never expected to hear such a thing from such an accomplished rider and man who knew the Santa Cruz mountains like the backs of his hands.

Gary, I'm sorry you had to pass this way my friend. I'm at peace, know you passed, in the action of doing something you loved so much.

:rip

I never had the opportunity to meet Gary but learned a lot from his posts. My deepest sympathies to his wife Jill, friends and loved ones. Godspeed.
