DIRTY BARF Trip; Stony? Dec 6th-8th?

Going down hill is easy you guys will be fine

:laughing
I've ridden every trail on the map at Stonyford, and lots that aren't on the map, and I wouldn't characterize going downhill on Trail 2 as "easy." Yeah, it's doable without killing yourself, but easy? I don't know... :ride

Good luck getting that into the campground. :laughing

Good luck getting it to the camp ground.

:laughing That's what I was thinking!
Not a great road for a rig like that, for sure.

So this is the trail 2 out of Little Stony right? It has about 4 or 5 turns with big water bars, I just don't remember it being that steep when Mark {senor on TT} dragged us up it. The only thing on my mind was to keep momentum, don't think we went down it though.

No, it's further up the road to the west, past the day use area and past where Lovelady Ridge comes down and crosses Little Stony Creek. It's the trail farthest to the west, or to the left as you're facing the hills from Little Stony. It runs east-west on Sullivan Ridge, rather than north-south, like the others. Not too many water bars or turns at the bottom. This is what the road looks like at the bottom...

You and Eric are the BEST Stonyford guides! Hopefully I can make this trip.

Kicking around a bike trip to Panama.... not sure of feasability or timing other than early winter yet. We'll see if I can get the funds togethor, an appropriate bike, and timing with friends accomodations in Mexico and Nicaragua along the way. Its a tall order... so chances are Ill be in Stonyford and just do a smaller baja trip... who knows.

Much better idea. Seriously, you wouldn't have had any fun trying to get that 45-foot bus through Fouts Springs Rd. or to the campground.

I will go, are we getting a group camp ground or davis flats? I will bring my RV If I go.

Man, this might be a a great adios ride for me before moving to maui in january.....

Is there a party size limit at the group camp?

Thanks for replying about helping with funds. If we'd like to donate, does it need to be via check, or can we go through the Donate link and note the purpose of the payment?

Hmm, if I have a bike to ride & a body to do the riding by Dec. I'd like to go as well.

I owe Lovelady Ridge a visit after bypassing it during the Sheetiron.

Gray Pine accommodates 75 campers.

I suppose if you donate $12.68 to barf Bud will know what it is for...

Excellant idea thank you.

Sweet. Just sent via pp gift, will do another tomorrow for my +1. Thanks Butch. :)

Stonyford is pretty much epic. We, those of us who live at the center of the universe, know that.

We live like kings. Better even.
