Sept. 22 - La Ducati Day 2013 - ALL RIDERS WELCOME!! (FUNdraiser for Fire Brigade)

same here, bringing alot of new and used stuff

Great! :cool

Do keep in mind that this day is all about supporting the brave volunteers at the Fire Brigade, as well as the Riders For Health who bring medical supplies and services to far, remote areas of the world. :thumbup Be generou$!

I'll keep trying to convince the local bike shops to host a swap meet, so both buyers and sellers can get together easily. Hopefully soon.

Re: Swap meet Sept 22 La Honda
OK!!!

Just got the go-ahead to direct (more) sellers to the lawn near the fire station itself - plenty of room there!
I'll reopen the thread list now...

~Yana

Planning to be there : NEAR the Fire station itself... with my stuffs & a blanket! FYI as per Yana's reply PM to me above ! :thumbup ;)

John and Yana,

I have an essentially brand new set of SpeedyMoto frame sliders (part #09-0201), which fits several different Ducati bikes.

Anyone can check the SpeedyMoto website:
http://store.speedymoto.com/frame-sliders-c48.aspx
to see if that kit will fit their particular bike.

I had Nichols do the installation, and it was on my Sport Classic a grand total of five minutes, as we took it back off because it interfered with my side mounted steering damper. So the part was just "fitted", and not ever really used, tested, crashed, or anything. Never even made it out of the service lift. :laughing

I'd like to donate it for LDD so long as it sells for at least $75.00, which is half the list price of a new unit. 100% of the money is to go the the Fire Brigade. Is it better to put this up in the event's auction section, or in the swap meet section?

I'm there. Was this event held last year?

nope ... we did not hold LDD in 2012 due to some issues we ran into (and to be fully honest, all the great folks who volunteer their time each year for LDD just needed a break).

looking forward to seeing a LOT of BARFers on the 22nd for LDD 2013 :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

ciao,

Probably better for these to go to Auction, because the kit is designed for particular models. Pretty useless to win a pair as a Raffle item, and not want it, or be able to use it. I will bring a Fitment Chart based on information SpeedyMoto sent me today, so those bidding on it will know it will fit on their bike. Fortunately, it seems to be the most popular kit, fitting a ton of different Ducati models and years.

agree ... makes more sense to have these in the auction. please email matt (the LDD vendor and auction director). i'll PM you his email addy.
