Rossi claims 2nd in championship standings with a dominant 2nd place finish.

this year went by way too quick. next year is going to rock, but i dont want this season to end yet :(

for the moto3 race, i think marquez will take out miller and be DQ'd from the race, but it wont matter because miller wont score points, giving A-hole Marquez the title by default, going down as the most bullshit championship won by a kid with mediocre race craft and a recognizable name.

miller wont even give a fuck tho because he's on his way to being the next doohan

Some new colors on the grid this round.

Oh and the fix is in. M2M is getting the Jr'ship.
Actually shockingly I want the neuewhiner to take it (now that fenati has disappeared - dafuq happened with him?) despite his whining (maybe because he finally nutted up and stopped taking it like a punk) but I think the Bro'ship is in the making.

Marquez' take on team orders after they were asked about what they thought of what happened in the Qatar round of WSBK, from today's Valencia Round pre-event press conference (as best as I can transcribe):

Sometimes I think we need to respect (the factory's) decision, but you never know, it' so difficult. We are riders, and you know that if you can finish second, you don't want to finish third. But, you know if some factory give to you all the support during 2-3 years, it's important to respect the decisions of the factory.

It's a factory that invest a lot of money for one thing, and for just a wrong decision, they lose the championship.

But you'll never know, maybe in the future I'll be in that situation and for that reason I don't say nothing.

All the other riders pretty much echoed Marquez' opinion; while team orders are generally in a bad light, they all agree on the importance of respecting the team/factory's wishes who have provided you with the support during your tenure with them.

I like how he doesn't rule out disobeying those same orders though. Its one of those things that depends too much on various circumstances to make a outright black and white call as rider.

Depending on how the season has went, relation with the teammate, relation with the factory, I'm sure every rider, including MM can see themselves disobeying team orders. Nobody wants to talk themselves into a corner and set precedent since I think all riders enjoy their independence on the track.

Right cause the factories are just charity blessing you with a ride, as opposed to yiu know, a rider providing a valuable job

aoyama is going to race the new proddy honda at valencia.hayden and abraham will share it for the post-race test and miller and laverty will test the old bike.interesting to see what redding's times on the factory bike will be compared to hayden on the new production model.

You are confusing me.

Aoyama races it.

Hayden and Karel test it.

Miller and LAVERTY to test the old machines. Didn't see that part. Not sure why Laverty is testing anything, did he finally sign? I forget.

Where does Redding fall in this then? You're suggesting he gets to ride the LCR or Dani's bike..?

--

Honestly, the best part about going to Valencia is staying for the next two days of testing and seeing the guys on their new rides. Can't WAIT to see how Cal does.. I bet JUST fine. ;)

Laverty is in with aspar next year and Redding gets Bautistas seat.

RE: team orders...
It would be hilarious if the one chosen to submit to second place races 100% all race, kicks the shit out of the teammate then just rolls into the final section before the finish line on the last lap as slowly as needed to allow the teammate to finish first, or just dead stops a meter short of it to allown them to finish ahead.

"Yeah, I smoked you by 20 seconds, but here you go, have the points, bitches."

Yeah, that's pretty much what Baz did at Magny Cours..

Oh, and Karel is using NISSIN brakes this weekend.

More like what happened between Melandri and Guintoli by Race 1 in Magny Cours, IMO. Melandri had been on top form against Guintoli prior to that round, and wasn't even subtle in letting Guintoli pass, literally waving him through.
