Taking time off work in summer, bought a track bike, must make garage space. This bike deserves someone who will ride it.

2008 Yamaha FZ1, 11000ish miles

I bought this in 2013 from bluebyu.

Ohlins road & track forks
Ohlins shock
R1 brakes
Ivans ECU flash
Ivans butterfly valves
Full yosh exhaust
Corbin passenger seat with backrest
PC3
PC Quickshifter
ASV levers
Rizoma handlebars and grips.

2500 miles ago catalyst re-sprung suspension to my weight (180lb) & serviced the forks/shock.

Fresh oil, new battery, tires have plenty, needs nothing. Took it to Thunderhill once.

I have the stock forks, stock rear seat with cover, and some odds and ends like the centerstand and an extra windscreen.

The idle is a little bouncy sometimes. Never bothered to fix it. Otherwise runs perfectly.

$8000. 1% to BARF of course. Thanks for reading.

Awesome ride. Damn, those brakes are big! Ohlins bits are tasty and the color is sweet. Don't sell it.

Thinning the herd and this is the one that gets cut? What else you stashed in that garage???

glws!

Nice bike! I can almost guarantee you'd change your mind about selling it if you had Ivan reflash your ECU. It still makes me miss that bike even though my Tuono is like an FZ1 on steroids.

The Ivans reflash is the bomb IMHO. Totally fixed any niggles I had with my FZ1.

Hah, thanks. True story. A DRZ supermoto takes me around town and a Multistrada takes me everywhere else. The Multi is something else ... Go fast? [y/n] Passenger? [y/n] ... push buttons and go.

Plus if I put my girl on the back suddenly the topcase is essential. Maybe if I get her one of those fashionista backpacks...

Interesting. I am going to look into this.

The best way I can describe it is that it gives you a flawless connection between your mind, throttle hand, and rear wheel. The throttle does exactly what you will want it to do with perfect smoothness.

Update:
- Signs point to "don't sell it!"
- bike is currently dissembled for Ivan to reflash ECU
Feel free to offer me favorable over-list sums or trades tho

Ohlins road & track forks
Ohlins shock
R1 brakes
Ivans(fce,smaller butterflies)

I added a quickshifter to the PC3 (lots of fun), & grip pads to hold on to the thing.
Catalyst re-sprung suspension to my weight (180lb) & serviced the forks/shock.

Fresh oil, new battery, tires have plenty, needs nothing. Maybe a dyno tune to get it full tilt, currently running a map from the internetz given the mods.

I have the stock forks, stock rear seat with cover, and some odds and ends like the centerstand and an extra windscreen.

$8000.

That's what I paid plus quickshifter. Firm for now, I'm really back-and-forth about selling it, so putting it up for top dollar and see if anyone really wants. It's gorgeous and awesome but three bikes seems too many at the moment.

1% to BARF of course. Thanks for reading.

Fosho! Anything Ivan's is the gas! He's been on the FZ-1 since the beginning, when so many Bandits and Zrex riders were switching over--thinking of his jet kit we all bought for our 1st gens.....:ride

bad ass bike. I love mine and it's pretty much stock. GLWS.

I kept getting confused from googling. Does FZ1s have crossplane engine set up?

By the by, I would gotten this if I sold my bike. *sigh* If only.

Back up for sale!!~~~!~
Bumping this ad for history of the bike
Will post a new ad in a second.
