Thanks aware!
I'll hopefully have found an FZ-09 before the next track day with Z2 on the 7th. I don't know why, but I reeeeeally like the matte grey with the ridiculous green wheels. I want to do a half-dip for a supermoto look.

They will look like this, but in green/matte grey.

Why do you want a supersport?
Buy a reasonably cheap upright bike with a normal seating position for commuting, can be as boring as buying a 2.5k SV650 with reasonable mileage and upgrade suspension, and take the other 2-3k and buy an old 600 trackbike, ideally one that can be made "street legal" for those weekend rides.
Your best trackbikes will always be garbage commuters.
Also, good chatting with you at the end of the day, thanks for entertaining my gawking comments about the bike![]()
Look into the Daytona 675, and specially the R version if you can afford it. What you end up with is a great linear power band, brembo brakes, and ohlins suspension. Can't really beat that for track days plus like someone else said it's way more unique than another jap bike.
Well, because I can't get my dick up for old SV650s or old 600 trackbikes, so while that might be the smarter solution, I'd rather pay twice the money for one bike i'm obsessed with that I use for everything... I really like R6's. Also no problem, was fun talking to everyone throughout the day about the RC...
That's totally fair - I spent years on inappropriate super sports because I loved the hell out of them. If that's the case you should absolutely buy the one you want, not the practical or sane one
Edit: id try and find one that's a former trackbike that could be put back to street that already has all the track upgrades.
I saw pic's of the bike last Monday when I went riding with Sherm and Annie. Oh, and Eric, riding a KTM is all about love......
Make the picture format a little bigger next time ^^^^^^^^^^^;^
Hope all is well with you, and thanks for keeping Mines Rd. tame for the rest of us!
Sorry feel like I was a bit of a dick with that response. Yes, I found an R6 with loads of track upgrades - M4 exhaust with header/cat delete, power controller, auto tune, upgraded chain and sprocket... Part of me wants to get a stock R6 that I can gradually upgrade on my own, but the cost savings on this are pretty huge compared to a stock R6.
