ADV/DS ride Lake Berryessa/Knoxville OHV/Rayhouse Rd.

Thinking about tomorrow, just got the bike together after a month and it needs to get dirty again.

Reiff Rd gate open today

Hello all, I rode Reiff/Rayhouse from west to east today and the gate was open at the top of Reiff Rd. Guess it has not gotten muddy enough for the county to close it for the season yet.

There was a nasty north wind blowing but the upside was that it cleared out the air. From the summit the Sutter Buttes can be seen through the gap in the hills.

Ended up going thru Willows and had lunch at the "The Last Stand". Are you going to come up and visit him for Christmas? If so let me know and maybe we can go out for a ride and visit him!
 
Will this ride be happening in January? I ran across this thread (and BARF, for that matter) while doing some road condition and access research for this route. I didn't realize it was so well traveled. Id like to tag along if its going to be running next month.

New member here, this forum looks like it has a lot to offer.

It is always scheduled but doesn't always have people show up. I lived in Crockett for 15years and recently moved to the northbay. Welcome to barf!
 
Oh ok. Well I guess ill need to check back when the ride gets closer. I think I may do it regardless. Just concerned about the water crossing at the far east side of Reiff? looks like that may fill up and become impassable?

Crockett is a cool town. Its got a funky vibe to it. Ive only been here a few months but Ive been working in this area for 4 years.

It's not a water crossing, it's a really low concrete bridge. Current satellite image on Google Maps just happens to show it flooded. If the bridge isn't clear then don't screw around there.
